Critics say 'th' symbol was rare in 1970s typewriters.
But for anchor Dan Rather, CBS News's valuable "60 Minutes" franchise and the news divisions of the broadcast networks, the supposedly 30-year-old photocopies are a big story that isn't showing signs of going away.

FORGERY CHARGES COULD DAMAGE CBS-Wall Street Journal
Let's see? NBC got caught blowing up pickup trucks and I believe (not sure since I seldom watch TV)that show is still on?
What's its' name?
Destroy the mothers.
Put a stake through the black hearts of Rather and company.
Just desserts for the way metrosexual Kenneth ambushed President Bush 41.
What did I miss here? Please excuse my ignorance. 60 Minutes of Crap is actually being black-balled ????

There's a guy who put up a $50,000 reward for anyone who could prove that GW fulfilled his guard duty. Some enterprising soul should send him a registered letter containing a copy of GW's honorable discharge. If he fails to pay sue him for the %50,000 plus attorney fees and court cost. You will win and you will get this man's $50,000 since a honorable discharge is proof that GW server his stint successfully. Otherwise a honorable discharge means nothing. Including Kerry's.
As I've said before, "forgery" is a powerful word. If you accuse a network of lying, people yawn and say, "Well, that's what you say, but others think different." But a forged document is a forged document. It's very visible, it's solid, and it can't be waved away.
Attempt to defraud the American electorate in a federal election?
Attempt to discredit a wartime president?
Attempt to slander the honorable service of a member of the National Guard?
Attempt to libel and slander the innocent critics (and former viewers!) of a major news network?
Attempt to misrepresent the qualifications and expertise of witnesses?
Attempt to silence the dissenting voices of other experts?
This will not go unpunished.
Rather cannot and will not survive.
CBS is ruined.

Check and see if Martha sold her stock on the day before the CBS 60mins segment aired. Oh you better catch her quick because she'll be in jail by the end of the month.... hahahha Poetic Justice.
> "I'm confident in the process of vetting ...
> says CBS News President Andrew Heyward."
It's devastatingly clear that the "vetting" process on
Bush stories has but single test: who benefits.
- Damaging to Bush: run it.
- Beneficial to Bush: kill it (or spin it into damage)
"Although alleged-President Bush today exhibited the
head of Osama bin Laden, he avoided addressing various
persistent questions that CBS hasn't quite finished
making up yet out of thin air."
Who are you going to believe...the WSJ or Bill O'Reilly and Dan Rather?
The stunt cbs pulled tonight was pathetic.
HOWEVER, they did blink. They have indicated that they realize the memos are fakes. They did not say as much...but the crap they pulled tonight showed it.
THEY ARE HOPING THAT HURRICANE IVAN TAKES UP ENOUGH NEWS AND MAKES IT ALL GO AWAY.
" FORGERY CHARGES COULD DAMAGE CBS-Wall Street Journal "
Could? More appropriate words are: Should, Will, Did, etc.
Yep....check this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1217235/posts
about time.
"The worm has turned."
And some are twisting in the wind on national news broadcasts. Thanks.
