This appears that a very serious crime was perpetrated in an effort to skew an election.

You got that right! CBS had better face reality but quick and come clean. SOMEONE will be doing some quality time for this. These documents are OBVIOUS forgeries. The only questions are who did it and is Rather/CBS in on it. The longer they stonewall, the worse it's going to be for them. Martha Stewart, meet Dan Rather.

Arnett never actually appeared on the air on CNN again after that. It was fitting, as Arnett (like John Kerry), built his entire career on phony atrocity stories.
Rather, also, has a long history of attacking the military based on the claims of phonies, and he himself has made phony claims about his military service. (He dropped out of boot camp but calls himself a Marine). I wonder if there's a connexion there.

I would expect that the Justice Department is in the process of an investigation into this matter? What is the difference in a media network bringing down a sitting president, especially in a time of war, with a pen or microphone OR an assassin with an AK-47? IMHO, both are illegal and unlawful???
