Did anybody catch Special Report with Brit Hume? again, Juan Williams had to be sent to a time out--big baby--by Brit and Mort Kondracke--because he insists on talking about the contents of the memos even though they are frauds...
he keeps saying Bush disobeyed a direct order to take a physical... Brit and the others said, "the memos are frauds..." and then Juan had the stupidity to say something like, "just because these are frauds doesn't mean there wasn't a memo in existence that ordered him to take the physical..." and Brit and you can't base a story on a memo that you're not even sure exists or not...
amusing. CBS has forged memos and now they are butressing them with idle gossip from an elderly woman. I am just not believing this.

I am disappointed in Mort though. He clings to the notion that CBS was duped. No way, not after their own experts said the memos were not authentic. That is, CBS's experts told CBS that teh memos weren't authentic, and after being told that, CBS aired the story. Under those circumstances, "we were duped" doesn't fly.
Everyone thinks that missing this physical is such a big deal and it simply is not. A pilot, any pilot can turn his wings in at anytime, missed physical or simply pissed-off, and he is still in good standing. He just gets reassigned to different duty. He can come back to pilot status anytime he wants to also, he just has to take another flight physical, be observed for HRP (Human Reliability Program) and demostrate his ability to fly.
All this crap about LT Bush missing his flight physical is simply BS!!!!!!!!!!!!

What people like Juan don't understand is that if the stuff in the memos was true, why was there a need to create forgeries? The only obvious reason for creating official looking documents was to pass along rumors and hearsay about Bush. They had no real documents to do this with, so they created them. They more than likely believed that the only way the information would look credible and get the desired attention, was to put it in forged official-looking documents.
CORRECT..., in fact, if a pilot "feels" that they are not fit to fly, they have an OBLIGATION to ground themselves!!! The overall gross ignorance concerning the military grows everyday as fewer and fewer of our citizens have ANY direct experience with military service!!!
Little known fact: There is no Juan Williams but that is Dan Rather with very professional makeup. There never was a Juan Williams, it's a trick.
Right, hell I'm only 53 (compared to 82) and I don't even remember the title of my doctoral thesis 25 years ago. I only wrote one paper and barely remember it, this old lady typed hundreds of thousands of papers and remembers one of them... sheeeeesh, what an old fool!

Juan is nothing but a partisan hack that needs to get a "slapping" now and then, and deservedly so.
But he did act outraged when they told him the old lady had said the docs were fake. Dang, it sucks when the truth goes against your opinion and what you were really, really hoping was true turns out to be false.
