Hmm, there's a lot of this going around. Judges are taking over the school funding issue all over the place. Who needs legislatures?

At least this judge didn't rule:

"I hereby decree a statewide income tax of 11% to go to the Texas School Fund, which I and I alone shall supervise. The entire income of any Texan who is not an attorney or a judge is subject to the tax. The tax is effective retroactive January 1, 1835, with a 5% penalty per month in arrears. Taxation obligations are heritable to all who are neither attorney nor judge. Any Texan who has not made tax check payable to me by month's end shall be ordered to come before me to explain.

"Because I am the law, I decree that the Constitution mandates this tax, and there is no right of appeal. The legislature has 48 hours to ratify this decision in its entirety."

You are absolutely right! Let's just declare them mullahs who are the final word on everything and the Constitution be damned.

It started years ago in Texas--"Robin Hood"--"rich" districts became donors to poorer districts!
