Judge Orders Nader off Florida ballot The Associated Press Updated: 3:08 p.m. ET Sept. 15, 2004
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Ralph Nader is again off Floridas presidential ballot, at least for now. Circuit Judge P. Kevin Davey on Wednesday ordered that Naders name be removed from the November ballot, finding that the Reform Party which nominated Nader isnt a legitimate party under state law.
Davey also ordered that four counties that have already mailed absentee ballots listing Nader send out amended ballots without his name. Davey had issued a temporary order last week keeping the consumer advocate off the ballot, but his ruling was suspended on Monday after Florida Secretary of State Glenda Hood filed an appeal.
Daveys ruling on Wednesday reinstates his original decision. ...

Judicial Tyranny. Coming soon to a courtroom near you!!!
If the appeal suspends Davey's TRO, then how can he reinstate it if the appelate court has the case? Does anyone have a link to the decision?
Apparently "judge" Davey aspires to SCOFla....
If the Democrats think that the Nader voters will not turn to them I think they are wrong.
They are going to resent the fact that the Democrats kept Nader off the ballot
This should keep many of them home and help GOP canditates down the ticket (Senate race)
If the election is a landslide for Bush, this will only compound the DNC's headaches.
Pretty amazing that courts can tell the American people who they can and can't vote for....
Not to worry. I am certain the Supreme Court of Florida will put Nader back on the ballot to make sure every Floridian has a choice. (/extreme sarcasm)
Sorry, I should have checked my post more closely,
'If the Democrats think that the Nader voters will NOW turn to them, I think they are wrong'
This is what we need! A bunch of invalid ballots floating around with duplicates being sent out. What if someone had already voted the old ballot? Should they send in the amended one even if the vote doesn't change? This is just peachy.
If this election is anything like the 2000 election, there will still be several communist and socialist party candidates for president on the Florida ballot even without the Green Party or Ralph Nader.
Those "other" parties drew enough of the vote in 2000 that their votes alone could have handed Florida to Gore.
Gee, who ever thought I would be rooting for the commies!
LOL!
Florida ping.
It is what the Democrats want, another reason to invalidate absentee ballots.
That the word "Democrat" shares 7 letters
with the word "democracy", is purely coincidental.
There is no relationship between the two.
Which democratic party hack bought "Circuit Judge P. Kevin Davey"?
Oh. NO.
Wait, I'm sorry.
Ashcroft is the one enslaving everybody.
No problem. Just print up a bunch of stickers reading "CENSORED BY ORDER OF CIRCUIT JUDGE P. KEVIN DAVEY" and paste them over Nader's name on the ballot.
The DNC has turned even further to the left since 2000 to try to pull more of the registered commie vote. The media ignores these actions and still try to portray democrats as "centrists". The liberal media knows that the lurch left would only run off more moderate voters (including yellow dog democrats).
I DO vote democratically... for Republicans!
....Gee...I wonder who that judge supports for President of the USA
We'll win this time even without Nader votes.
And when we do, I doubt the Nader supporters are going to kiss and make up with the Democrats who played these dirty tricks to try and force them to vote for Kerry.
So the Democrats, in the end, will only end up with a rift in their ranks for all their manipulation.
Btw - I think Nader should run commercials if/when he is excluded announcing that because of these tricks he encourages his supporters to not vote, and instead wear tshirts all day saying 'my vote was excluded by Democrat lawyers so I stayed home'.
