TRENTON, N.J. (AP) First lady Laura Bush will visit a Mercer County firehouse Thursday in the first Bush-Cheney campaign event in New Jersey that is not a fund-raiser.
She is scheduled to deliver remarks at an 11:15 a.m. Bush-Cheney '04 rally at the Colonial Firehouse in Hamilton.

Hee hee, New Jersey's in play.
TS
If Senator Kerry winds up fighting for NJ, he is indeed French toast.
Good....come to CT, please come to CT!!! I want to take my son to see the President!!!!
This is a HUGE and very positive signal.
She should come over to Staten Island while she's in the nabe W down 8 and 6 in new polls in the Empire State.

that thread talks about ny being in play too.
Hmmm..Laura..a toe in the water to test the temperature?
I just saw that! This is awesome. I've been saying NJ would swing for the President but never in my wildest dreams did I expect NY to narrow.
Joisy ping.
A visit to Staten Island is actually a good idea. It's definitely Giuliani country.
I'd love to see Pres. Bush win Staten Island. It would let my borough know who the people on the front lines (NYPD-NYFD) like.
Excellent-Brilliant. The first lady is incredibly popular (deservedly so). While W will not win NY and NJ, this flanking manuever will cause Kerry to spend $ in this very expensive market-$ he cannot afford.
The "evil genius" Karl Rove has Kerry's campaign in complete disarray.
California and New York might be next in the battleground column. To be honest, I'm still surprised at how the incessant media attacks on Bush have backfired big time.
Now the media hacks are calling Bush the "Tefton President," since they have no clue why their tendentious reporting is not helping Kerry at all.
Going to get tickets today.
If we're attacking in places like New Jersey and Wisconsin, then Kerry's in trouble.
Pond-- I was at a rally with President Reagan in Fairfield CT in 1984. It was so exciting. I will never forget it. I would love to go to a President Bush rally this year but I suspect there won't be one in CT. Maybe I can travel to NH or PA. Or just maybe NJ if they decide to give that state a shot.
Yipee!!!Wish she would come to Toms River (my home town-Ocean County)...
