Take a second to read through the astonishing postings (link below) on Borders unions website. As you will see... the attached postings are primarily from really annoyed liberals, and a couple of them refer to ongoing tactics to keep UNFIT FROM COMMAND away from the public.
Here's one example:
"We're 'finding' that most of the few copies we're getting are damaged and need to be sent back, so sad. Too bad, Bushies! Regnery needs to be more careful. I'm hearing from people at 2 other stores that this seems to be common.
Why should we help destroy what's left of our country?"
or how 'bout this one...
"You can probably get Regnery's corporate number from Books in Print or off the web. I'd keep it handy and then whenever a customer asks for this book, tell them that Regnery isn't keeping this book stocked and it may be because Regnery is a pinko-commie-fag publisher who's trying to bury this story by not printing enough copies of this book. Tell them you even read on the web that Hillary Clinton is on Regnery's Board of Directors.
And, after all, you did just read on the web that she's on the Board and that it's pinko-commie-fag publisher so you wouldn't be lying. Well, maybe you shouldh't use "pinko-commie-fag." How about pacifist lesbian outfit? Not that there's anything wrong with that."
...or this one...
"You guys don't actually HAVE to sell the thing!
"Just 'carelessly' hide the boxes, 'accidentally' drop them off pallets, 'forget' to stock the ones you have, and then suggest a nice Al Franken or Micheal Moore book as a substitute. Borders wants those recommends, remember?
"I don't care if these Neandertals in fancy suits get mad at me, they aren't regular customers anyway. Other than 'Left Behind' books, they don't read. Anything you can do to make them feel unwelcome is only fair. They are the people pushing retailers to cut costs, don't forget. And they would censor your speech, your books, your music in a heartbeat, so give them a taste of it!
"Don't get mad, get even!"
Unbelievable!

Unfit for Command has done America another service by 'outing' the Leftist Fascists for the freedom hating totalitarians they are. These people are ready, willing and able to deny the Freedom of Speech to their opponents and burn/ban books. THEY are the Nazis.
Put on your pajamas, bigsky, and inform all conservative shows what you have discovered!
I just bought my copy at Borders in of all places, Tomkins County, NY (home of Ithaca and definitely "behind enermy lines"!!!).
The old enough to know better clerk (they never comment on my purchases at this store) could not help herself and asked me if the book were a pro-Bush or anti-Bush item. I replied as far as I knew Bush did not appear in it and hence it took no position on Bush. Rather, it concerned Vietnam War activities.
Amazing, they do not seem to be able to sell this book without scrutiny, a fifth degree, or some comment.
I might add having read prior posts here and knowing just exactly where I was at the time, I was somewhat steeled for some desk inquisition and my comments were appropriately terse and delivered in a "you should know more about your store's products than the customer" attitude.
I think it flustered her as she had slide trouble trying to run my card and at first was going to blame the card when it was obvious she could not come close to hitting the slot. When she could see I was not particularly amused by any of it, Voilla (a Kerryism) we were done--mission accomplished.
Thanks for the quick ping.
Don't be surprised when these people remain warehouse workers or cashiers all their lives.

I checked again a few times and found it up. They're having intermittent problems. Probably only accustomed to the server load of a handful of leftist union twits.
Thanks for saving those remarks.
They have been erased by the Brownshirt Nazis in charge of the Borders link.
O'Reilly? He's wussed out on us; attacking the Swifties and all. Like Laura said yesterday: "Bill O'Reilly, the people who made you what you are, are tuning you out."
I already have.
Woo Hoo. Just got a message from Lucianne:
"Too delicious. We've just posted it. Stand back for the firestorm.
Thanks."
Yeah, Baby. Sigh. I better get out of my jammies and soon! :)
The mental deficient libs who infest both outlets will soon be relegated to working at carwashes and and selling animal-shaped balloons on busy corners.
I bought UNFIT the first weekend it was available. Already the hype of course was huge. I was at the downtown Chicago Borders. I walked in and first checked the NEW RELEASES rack at the front of the store. It was full of Kerry and anti Bush books.
I went to the info desk and asked if UNFIT was in stock. The young girl checked here computer screen and after a few minutes said that it was downstairs. She obviously had not heard of the book.
I went downstairs, the basement of the store where most of the bargain books are, and there was one copy of UNFIT on this table that had various other books on it of no related topic. In fact, it was the last copy.
I really couldn't believe it. Since then, I get that the book is on back order whenever I go to the local Borders or Barnes & Noble.

Great Save!
Maybe this could be stand alone thread by itself.

The took the board down before I could get any more names, but you get the "gist".
lol i sent mr. drudge the text from the postings in a word doc in case the site is down when he goes to look at it.
Passed info to Reg Press site.
Hopefully Borders will take it in the shorts.
I hope someone cached the Union thread. I'm having trouble getting into the site to make my copy!
The copy I received from Amazon was damaged. Not badly, just marks along the edges. But they won't come off and it never looked "new".
I spoke to a customer service supervisor. She said she would let me know what happened. I am still waiting.....
Very interesting. I used to work at a local bookstore (B&N) and although I've never seen anything like this, it would be easy to full off and is easy to believe.
