Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry will be the guest at 7:29 am eastern. Senator Kerry has a lot of convincing to do, beginning with the I-Man.. whose support has waned in recent weeks. Despite several polls to the contrary, both campaigns acknowledge a 5-6 point lead for President Bush. Many analysts say it's a result of a post convention bump, and the GOP's ability to make the focus of the election national security and Kerry's record. The challenge for the Senator is to now put the emphasis back on domestic issues while separating the War in Iraq from the War on Terrorism. Can he turn the tide while continuing to play defense? Can he turn all the anti-Bush sentiment into a spark that ignites the Democratic base? Does he think it will ultimately come down to the debates? Will he finally be able to clearly frame his views on Iraq? Is John Edwards the VP candidate he thought he would be? John Kerry has his work cut out.. but, he can take a big step forward on Wednesday morning when/IF he answers the tough questions from IMUS.

Kerry is phoning this one in...in more ways than one! Just snippets from his speech.
Imus is giving him plenty of rope..and he's hanging himself with it...just spouting his own talking points...Imus is going to zing him good when they hang up.
Investing in communism. Read Kerry's Senate record.
Actually, McCain put it on Rumsfeld.
Lots of bad blood there.
95% of the containers at our ports are not inspected. What the heck has he been doing in the Senate for the last 20 years?
Kids at Walter Reed? Arms grafted to their legs? Did he say that?
over investing in Heinz Ketchup factories overseas.
He's hoping Imus doesn't ask him about CBS's memos.
No good answer there for Kerry at all.
They're going to need a scanning electron proctoscope after this to find Imus's head, it's gonna be shoved so far up Kerry's rice butt.
Here he goes on Walter Reed: injured because they don't have the state of the art equipment! Who voted "NO"? Rumsfeld should resign because of the "miscalculation" of sending young men into harm's way. Widows of 9.11 who are not going to vote for Bush.
95%
Kerry visited Walter Reed.
VIET NAM and 9/11 consecutive mention
Yes. And tax hikes are "rollbacks".
Kerry's droning on for what feels like forever now. Rambling, making little sense.
IMUS --- ASK A QUESTION!!!!
Stump speech and smear tactics.
Imus doesn't want to to get a word in edgewise. Kerry says they troops did not have the right equipment.
"Arms grafted to their legs? Did he say that?"
Yes. I wonder what the heck that procedure is.
That b@stard. Fire Rumsfeld. Kerry did NOT vote for the funding - LIAR
Imus might throw in a criticism but he still wears his Kerry kneepads. Count on it.
Kerry maintains he voted for military equipment even though Imus accused him of not voting for it.
