Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry will be the guest at 7:29 am eastern. Senator Kerry has a lot of convincing to do, beginning with the I-Man.. whose support has waned in recent weeks. Despite several polls to the contrary, both campaigns acknowledge a 5-6 point lead for President Bush. Many analysts say it's a result of a post convention bump, and the GOP's ability to make the focus of the election national security and Kerry's record. The challenge for the Senator is to now put the emphasis back on domestic issues while separating the War in Iraq from the War on Terrorism. Can he turn the tide while continuing to play defense? Can he turn all the anti-Bush sentiment into a spark that ignites the Democratic base? Does he think it will ultimately come down to the debates? Will he finally be able to clearly frame his views on Iraq? Is John Edwards the VP candidate he thought he would be? John Kerry has his work cut out.. but, he can take a big step forward on Wednesday morning when/IF he answers the tough questions from IMUS.

Imus is a useful idiot. He's bringing Kerry out.. and that's whats needed.. Kerry has been hit hard and we need him unfiltered to see his state of mind.
Please provide me with links to transcripts where they state this...much appreciated.
Regards, Ivan
Call Kerry a weasel
But yet he'll be voting for the weasel ?
Imus is an idiot
You summed it up in a nut shell.
"Kerry and Edwards have both referred to you, our allies, as window dressing."
We here do not think of you that way. We know who our friends are, and you are our best friend.
DID not see the program, "IF" you did WHAT color was JFKerry's EYES???
Natural "Black/Brown"
or "BLUE" or "GREEN"????? or was this a phone in interview????
Much appreciated. I'm truly enraged with the Democrats now. I thought Kerry was being dismissive - now he is outright ignoring our contribution, and precisely for WHAT? So he can snuggle up to the FRENCH!
To Democrats reading: you bastards. 60 of our lads died along with American troops to liberate Iraq, and just to score a cheap shot on George W. Bush, you entirely ignore them. There are no words for the contempt in which I hold you.
Ivan
LOL, the Twilight Zone would be stationed over the CBS HdQtrs in Manhatten.
Please stop telling me to stop defending Imus.
Bad phone line.
You'd have cracked up, right off the bat Kerry coughed up a furball and Imus said "you okay?" Kerry humorlessly jumped back with "I feel great! Never felt better!" Like the phlegm hack never happened.
The guy is a sociopath.
Susan Swain, host of this morning's C-SPAN Washington Journal, is going to show some of the Imus/Kerry exchange shortly.
He was on by phone from DEEEtroit.
Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry has blasted the US administration for shunning outside help in Iraq, adding the 30 countries with occupation forces there are window dressing.
Speaking after a series of deadly blasts killed scores of civilians in Baghdad and Karbala, Kerry blamed the continuing violence in Iraq on the failure of his (President George Bushs) unilateral, ideological policy.
Europe and the Arab nations all have fundamental interest in not having a failed Iraq. But George Bush has failed completely to bring them to the table in a serious way, Kerry told CNN.
Asked about nations who have deployed occupation forces in the war-torn country, Kerry said, The fact is that those countries are really window dressing to the greatest degree.
Sorry if I was contentious regarding your take on the interview. Not my intention. Regards!
Kerry wants to be friends with the very countries that sold weapons to Iraq post 1991. Our troops are being shot at with French, Russian and Chinese weapons.
Kerry is delusional!
He probably had that ubiquitous phony excrement-eating grin plastered on his face as he said it.
Like Imus, O'Reilly and the rest of the media elite he would prefer a narrower 1A that shuts up the peons, like the Swift Boat Vets, and opens the field for the really smart guys like Lou who know what the issues should be.
Regards, Ivan
This is what the democrats have become... they are out of power and will stay that way if we maintain good principals and do what we believe is right.
