Rathergate Memo shows CBS FAX number is - 1-212-975-1998
CBS Rathergate FAX | Concerned

Posted on 09/14/2004 11:32:14 PM PDT by Concerned

The Rathergate Memo that keeps getting shown on TV shows a CBS FAX number of 1-212-975-1998.

I just called it and it first rings as sort of an electronic ring, then switches into a FAX tone.

Wouldn't it just be a "shame" if CBS were suddenly overloaded with FAXES from concerned Americans who are tired of the BLATANT R.I.C.O. FRAUD which they conspired to perpetrate to overturn a Presidential Election?

That FAX number again is 1-212-975-1998.

Nevermind, that link is six years old.

I imagine most of their soft-copy and hard-copy faxes go through a single-point corporate fax server. Too bad we can't get access to any of the juicy cover pages.

BTW... Here's our buddy Dave hangin' with the insurgents...

SMOKIN' JOE WROTE: "The fax number is from the machine which sent the fax, not the one which recieved it. Look the number up and you have the source of the fax."

PILLBOX_GIRL WROTE: "Please correct me if I'm wrong (and exercise the fundamental trait that keeps online media fixed to the truth), but I thought the phone number printed on a fax is the sending fax number. In other words, is it possible this fax number of the person who sent the memos to Dan Rather? Could this be the number to DNC headquarters or MoveOn.org?"

You are both correct. The number is apparently the FAX number---at CBS---from which the memo was sent. It is most likely able to also receive FAXES.

I want a replay of the Olympics in which we win all the gold and they could rerun that one of the Red Sox winning the World Series last year.

TO: DAN RATHER
RE: MEMOGATE

Dear Dan,
The villagers are banging on the castle gate with pitchforks in hand. You will have to come down from there eventually and face the consequences of your blatantly biased MEMOGATE fiasco.

Watch your back Dan; there are many up and coming youngsters there at SeeBS who want your job. I would guess you are hearing lots of wild speculation about how it will all turn out but remember Kenneth WE KNOW THE FREQUENCY.

Stay alert; the higher ups are plotting on how to dump you out the door and save their necks. The other networks are working towards stealing what is left of your audience.

The NEW MEDIA is here to stay. BTW DRUDGE, RUSH, and the gang at FREE REPUBLIC all say hi!

*Men* in PJs? Lots of us involved in this are women, including Howlin, who started the live thread that led to the exposure of the forgery.

Hey, I'm a girl, too. The cartoon is obviously taken from the "Men in Black" movie, and the now infamous quote about bloggers in pajamas only referenced men.

I saw that last night too on Britt Hume's show. It was like they tried extra hard to leave the fax number in the camera shot. I suggest generating order forms from a pajama company and we start faxing a few thousand order forms for pajamas to the CBS news desk.
