The Rathergate Memo that keeps getting shown on TV shows a CBS FAX number of 1-212-975-1998.
I just called it and it first rings as sort of an electronic ring, then switches into a FAX tone.
Wouldn't it just be a "shame" if CBS were suddenly overloaded with FAXES from concerned Americans who are tired of the BLATANT R.I.C.O. FRAUD which they conspired to perpetrate to overturn a Presidential Election?
That FAX number again is 1-212-975-1998.

The fax number is from the machine which sent the fax, not the one which recieved it. Look the number up and you have the source of the fax.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (and exercise the fundamental trait that keeps online media fixed to the truth), but I thought the phone number printed on a fax is the sending fax number. In other words, is it possible this fax number of the person who sent the memos to Dan Rather? Could this be the number to DNC headquarters or MoveOn.org?
To: pillbox_girl
This is the number to CBS. It's on the fax that they sent to the White House just before the 60Minutes episode aired.

D&mn!
And here I was trying to do a reverse lookup. I managed to narrow it down to New York, but that doesn't really say anything.
To: KingKongCobra
Oh, so these memos with the fax number is not what CBS is showing but others? Got it.

This may sound STUPIED, but why is there a fax number on any of the memos?Because they were faxed to the White House, which released them to the media.

And Verizon. But no, it's not much to go on. What we need is a real life detective that already has access to all this info!
