WASHINGTON A veteran who testified to John Kerry (search) about atrocities he committed in the Vietnam War (search) is now claiming that the Democratic presidential candidate coerced him to tell tales.
Steven Pitkin, an Army combat veteran, told FOX News that Kerry coached him and others to say they had witnessed war crimes, even after Pitkin told Kerry that he had not.
"Before they started the camera, they told me, 'We need you to speak about the atrocities that happened over there.' The whole company line that I initially came out and said, I was coached to say that over and over again," Pitkin said.

fyi
This could be big.
I'm guessing I know what will be in the next Swiftee ad. :)
All fine and well, but since Steven Pitkin is a lying bastard, what's anything he says now worth?
This is big news.
HUGH AND SERIES!
It needs to be the big type headline on Drudge.
He's not doing his research if it's not.
So, we know some of the WSI 'vets' weren't vets. Some weren't Nam vets. Some weren't combat vets. Some were combat vets that were still lying.WSI was the major source for the 'Nam Vets as Babykillers' Myth. Obviously some percentage of it was lies-- how close to 100% is it, exactly?
Will history finally get turned around to be the truth, rather than communist counter-culture PR lies? And will the John Kerry's of the World finally get kicked off their lying high-horses?
That's because people sense it's a case of like seeking like.

FYI
This new?
bump
And this Barnes guy Rather interviewed was what?
BUMP!
Pitkin appeared as a speaker at the Vietnam Veterans against Kerry this past Sunday in Washington, DC. He stood in front of the crowd of Vietnam veterans and others and, almost in tears, appologized for what he said at Winter Soldier. After admittiting his wrong, he asked for everyone's forgiveness for what he had done long ago. He sounded sincere to me.
He made a mistake and has the courage to admit it and ask forgiveness.
This is old news. He also reenlisted afterwards, and made the military a career, according to previous, more complete stories.
He did more than simply offer an empty apology; he went back and tried to make it as right as he could, and atone.
He sure as hell did not sit around getting rich off of milking it, like a certain candidate for President.
Interesting! I guess there's always 2 sides to everything.
