According to Laurie Dhue at the bottom of the hour all flights are grounded at LAX due to a "radio problem"...

A friend just walked in and said LAX / San Diego / Oakland and Ontario down, possibly other airports.
No link here. FOX just broke in saying it's a commo problem could last for several hours.
That would totally throw air traffic in this country into chaos.

Okay, apart from doing more jokes about Dhue, I'd like to know if anybody's got any idea how a massive communication failure encompasses multiple airports.
Do they mean a communication failure between airports and with planes...do they run over communication lines over the internet...is it based on satellite communication? Of course, I have no idea about the air traffic control system in this country.
Inquiring minds need to know!!!
