I will pay for the gas for a few PReepers to go to the city and protest CBS. I thing that would get on more than a few news outlets, and be very embarrassing to Old Media in general. Of course, the main objective is to "bring about change" and not to simply rub old Dan raw.
Rather must resign!
60m@cbsnews.com
I've never protested anything in my life, but I'm seriously considering doing it here at the CBS affiliate in Atlanta, especially since they would be sensitive to this because their news is at the bottom of the barrel in ratings. I have to travel until Sunday, but if CBS is still standing by Dan Rather next week I'm going to try and get a few people together and go down to WGCL's studios on 14th st. and make a few phone calls to the other news outlets. I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore. No matter how you look at this, we have a major news organization who INTENTIONALLY aired false information to harm a sitting President during an election in wartime. Even Al-Jazeera hasn't stooped this low.
I already wrote to CBS, telling them that America is laughing at their network, and at Dan Rather in particular.
Said that the next time he appears on TV he ought to announce......
BAGHDAD BOB REPORTING FOR DUTY
"Everyone wearing pajamas would surely get on the news."
OMG! That would be so KEWL!!
Do it now before it gets too cold for pajamas.
Funny, but why?
Because Dan Rather won't know the difference.
"CBS News is Rather Forged"
Yes, pajamas would be great!!!! Go for it, NY freepers!
We'll be protesting in pajamas, of course?
Oh, and a sign that says "Tell the truth! The Pajama People are watching you."
And my guess is that they'll not be putting any documents on their website ever ever again.
Best way to freep is to send e-mails to Campbell's Soup, Taco Bell, and Iams Dog Food saying that you won't buy their products as long as they sponsor the CBS Evening News.
Since I can't go to NY to freep Rather, I chose to do it from home. Here' just one result of my emails to a cbs sponsor.
It may not mean anything, but I felt better and somehow, I think if enough of us "reachout" with our message of "no tolerance" to lies from the news organizations, we will surely win in the long run.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We appreciate
consumers who are involved.
I'd like to share some background on how sponsorship of news programs works.
The preparation of news and public affairs programs is handled entirely
by the news staff of the television network, and the selection of program
content is based solely on their judgment. Advertisers are not given
the opportunity to review the program content in advance.
We want you to know that the appearance of our commercials on such
shows indicates neither our approval nor our disapproval of the content, just
as the appearance of one of our ads in a newspaper or news magazine is not
an
endorsement of the publication's editorial policy.
It's important to us that you realize each and every comment we receive
is taken seriously. Reactions to our sponsorship of television programs
are essential in helping us make plans for the future. I'm sharing your
concerns with the team responsible for television sponsorship.
If you have additional concerns, please feel free to email or call Iams
Consumer Care at your convenience. We can be contacted between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on
Saturday. Again, thank for taking the time to share your concern.
We appreciate you taking the time to write.
Sincerely,
Tina

Yes, we need organized Pajama People protests at CBS affiliates nationwide. People in pajamas will get on the news.
Do we have a sponsor thread with links?
"THE REVOLT OF THE PAJAMMA PEOPLE!!!"
{8^{D~
I wonder if CBS would even mention it?
Bet FOX would, though; especially if someone tips them off as to time and place.
Wouldn't that be a hoot!?
"CBS; Nooze for the Snooze!"
You might need some long-johns under those 'jammies - but don't forget your KERRY flip-flops!
Accessorize with candle-holders and cute cuddly Teddy Bears.
Some of those long dangly night-caps with the pom-pom on the end might be a nice touch too, eh?
Kewel!
Those ougtta look great on FOX News TV!
