FReeper Research Needed: What Evidence is There that the DNC or Kerry Gave CBS the Forged Docs?
Posted on 09/14/2004 5:42:26 AM PDT by jmstein7
Once again, there is an opportunity for FReeper research to make a big difference in this election.
If you have any evidence on the following questions, please post it to this thread.
1) Anything that suggests that the DNC is the source of the forged memos, i.e. that the DNC provided CBS with the forged Guard documents
2) Anything that suggests that the Kerry campaign is the source of the forged memos, i.e. that Kerry's camp provided CBS with the forged Guard documents
If we can get this evidence and make the connection, and get it out to the 'blogosphere, this election will be over.
Start digging!

Didn't I read somewhere that copies of these documents are in Kity Kelly's new book that hasn't hardly hit the streets yet? If so, that may be an avenue to locate whom SHE got them from.

Rush is saying what he read off the The American Spectator website which has posted an article from the Washington Prowler. The person the Prowler is talking to is only described as a CBS staffer. You can go to the Spectator's website and see for yourself.

Better hurry...CBS is just stalling until they can find an expert forger to create extremely authentic-looking documents that replicate the content of the current hoaxes.
Then, they'll admit that the current documents are "the result of the source dictating the content of the original over the phone to a low-level flunkie journalist, who thought it would be acceptable to re-type it on a word processor. But see, here are the REAL ones, and look how the content matches, but the fonts are so 1970-ish now."

What documents did Berger really stuff into his pants and who was he on his cell phone with as he dismissed the "library home room monitors" around him. Do you know who I am? Get lost! Now, where was I...

I was simply stating a fact. The polite thing would be to explain you were being facetious, rather than be rude.
I've been here long enough to tell when someone is joking.
I've also been here long enough to see plenty of posts just like yours, where the author wasn't joking. I wasn't the only one with such a reaction to your post, so perhaps you should hone your writing skills instead of being a butt-head.

Probably because they're "inside" sources and he can't expose them. If he did .. they would lose their jobs and Rush would lose a source.
But .. you can ask Rush yourself. He might have a different reason.

"Having spelled out the game plan on FR, you can't really expect a Double Ought Spy plan like that to work, can you?"
- You are quite right. My proposal was meant to be tongue in cheek. To actually carry out such a proposal would be logistically impossible, especially over the internet where coordinating the activities of participants cannot really be achieved. The idea was meant only to kind of appeal to your, "if only" funny bone. Sorry if I mislead you, but thanks for the reply.

- There you go again with the condescension routine.
(Only kidding. Really.)

Rather would only be willing to walk the plank for his daughter or DNC/Kerry.
We need to prevent CBS from running out the clock!!

The more I read, the more news that breaks, the more Old Media is turns on him, I am CONVINCED Dan Rather knew they were forgeries and he is involved in the scam. Hopefully involving the DNC-catch them all in one swoop.

Actually the only evidence of lack of proficiency with MS Word is the fact that the forger didn't know that buried in the AutoFormat submenu of the Format menu is an Options button which opens a menu in which you can turn off the autosuperscript. (I'm old enough to have learned the lower case L as 1 trick and to put two spaces after periods at ends of sentences--not after abbreviations--and resent your suggestion that age is likely to lead to less proficiency with Word. The design of the damn program leads to less proficiency, but I digress.)
The forger knew that lower case L's wouldn't produce the auto-superscript, and that inserting a blank between the numerals and the suffix would also prevent it. In all but two cases, he or she remembered this, but slipped up twice leaving the tell-tale superscripts. As well as leaving the tell-tale spaces in all but one of the ordinals not ending in a 1 (done as a lower case L).
I think the evidence points to someone who was so used to using MS Word in its default version that he or she never thought about going in to turn off the defaults, who knew that old typewriters required lower case L's as 1's and found that putting a space into the ordinals would suppress the superscripts. The forger got sloppy and left two. No one typing either on an old typewriter or in MS Word would put spaces into ordinals, unless they were doing so precisely because it was the only way they knew to suppress the autosuperscript. Even if the forger had remembered in every case so that there were no superscripts, the typeface, perfectly centered proportional type address, and the uses of 147 th instead of 147th, and the like, would be enough to prove them forgeries.

See the Kerry-Edwards web site, press releases, April 27.
"Unanwered questions about National Guard duty"
Either Dan Rather wrote it, read it, or had it read to the forger;
or the forger wrote his memo's, and the dnc read the forger's memo's.
It is a word-by-word repeat of the show.

The best evidence is that Burkett, his lawyer, and Rather's daughter are tied in to the Democrat organization in Taylor County (the Abilene Area.)

Why don't you summarize what you have from this thread which started before we learned about the Kinko's fax and use it to start a new thread?
What you are doing here is very important and I'm afraid it may get lost if you don't issue some sort of a summary update.
