The only thing that bothers me about this thread is Arnold never claimed to be a conservative. He is a fiscal conservative (by California standards) but he is a social liberal. Once again people have to ask themselves do they want part of the pie or none of the pie? I hazard to guess that had Gray Davis still been in office this bill would have been even more draconian.
I totally support 2nd amendment rights. But if people want to live in the Peoples Republic of California they shouldn't be surprised that the mentality is what it is.

I think the thing that irritates many of us is how many of the conservative establishment jumped on the Arnie bandwagon even before he declared despite the number true conservatives in the race. We had a chance to put a real conservative in but the powers that be got too excited at the thought of palling around with him.

He is a fiscal conservative (by California standards) but he is a social liberal. BS. Spending is increasing faster than it did under Davis and with less excuse. He also got rid of the constitutional prohibition on borrowing to cover continuing operations.
Fiscal conservative indeed.
