What about the overtime and other bills? I don't really trust him to always do the right thing, but he is better than Davis.

Darn you! As a single issue voter I will now ask you if you own any fire arms if you respond with a no you are automatically a RINO and are subject to be regarded as irrelevant. . . And if you do own a gun how can you possibly say that you traitor. . .

I guess the only relevant question is whether the California legislature would have had the votes to override his veto? If so then it might be argued that he is saving his powder for a later fight.

Yes, as you recognize, some people do think this way.
They need to understand that conservatives come in all shapes and sizes, with different tastes, different cultures,
and different emphases on the value of purity.

In the interest of sanity I would just like to state the obvious.

Arnold > Davis > Bustamante > McClintock > Peter Camejo & Arrianna Huffington.

This was the pecking order on the ballot.

A reason why I was hoping McClintock would win.

9/13 7:30 PM: Governor Shwarzenegger signed AB50 into law.

Does this mean the RNC Convention is officially over?

Yep. Its calculation for the next election. Too many anti-gun liberals here.

Never did, Bear Wash. Never did. I "speak like" a realistic, but absolutely sincere, conservative. I have taken lumps for being so conservative, and will continue
to my entire life.

No RINO in his right mind would spend the kind of time I spend on FReep. It would drive him crazy! Whereas I do appreciate it ... most of the time.

Can you explain in really non-weapon-expert terms why we needed this gun legal? I am really ignorant about these things but I support gun ownership rights and believe that guns save way more lives than they hurt. (I lived in Switzerland for 9 years, too.)

Well no one should be surprised...I and many others exposed his anti-gun leanings before the recall election.
At least the assault weapons ban expired...
maybe I can get that "14" I always wanted and never took the time to buy. LOL

The legislature doesn't have quite enough votes to overrride a veto. They're working on it, but they're not there yet.

Those jobs are getting rarer every day. With all the importation of poverty, it will get worse before it will ever get better.
