HAHAAHA>........so much for the brochure the Dems were so excited about this morning......that proves he was in the United States Air Force!

Thanks Howlin, I had seen someone on TV talking about this Friday or Saturday & couldn't remember the letters they had mentioned, but did here this & it's just more proof how lame those documents are that CBS aired!

Don't you know the dems are all over this place now. We will probably even have a few "undercovers" mining for information.

They sure are, they copy & paste tons of our threads at the dark side.

Well .. I'm assuming the person who was doing the typing was the same person who made the signatures.

If Burkett had documents with Killian's name on it, he would have just had to request a signature block.

I could create a letter or memo from dictation. However, the person doing the dictation is required to specify the format to be used .. and if not .. a common or standard is used. In Burkett's mental state, he may not have even realized the person doing the typing didn't know what the standard form was .. but it definately was not a military person.

US News Is the First Major Publication to Challenge Bush's Honorable Discharge

Whenever Bush is challenged about going AWOL in 1972, he claims his Honorable Discharge absolves him of all sins. But for the first time, the conservative weekly US News is challenging the validity of Bush's HD. "Some experts say they remain mystified as to how Bush obtained an honorable discharge. Lawrence Korb, a former top Defense Department official in the Reagan administration, says the military records clearly show that Bush 'had not fulfilled his obligation' and 'should have been called to active duty.'... The regulations must be followed, adds James Currie, a retired colonel and author of an official history of the Army Reserve. 'Clearly, if you were the average poor boy who got drafted and sent into the active force," he says, "they weren't going to let you out before you had completed your obligation.'"

Globe Fails to ID Kerry Backer in Bush National Guard Hit Piece

A report in the Boston Globe tries yet again to parrot the Kerry campaign line on the president’s military service and quotes former DoD bigwig Lawrence Korb in its hit piece. But in their haste to boost a bogus argument disproved time and again over the years, the Globe abjectly fails to identify Korb as a big-time Kerry supporter who writes for an outfit calling itself the Center for American Progress, a Democrat front group (run by John Podesta and funded by George Soros) which also supports Kerry.

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan disputed the conclusions reached in the Boston Globe article.

He said, "If the president had not fulfilled his commitment he would not have been honorably discharged. He was honorably discharged in October of '73. The president is proud of his service in the National Guard."

McClellan continued, "The Boston Globe has bought into the line of attack by the Kerry campaign."

He pointed out, "The paper turned to a Kerry supporter for its analysis, a guy who works for a Democratic front group that backs the Kerry campaign."

The newspaper extensively quoted Lawrence J. Korb who it identified as a former assistant secretary of defense for manpower and reserve affairs in the Reagan administration. It makes a passing reference to Korb's affiliation with "a liberal Washington think tank." That organization is the Center for American Progress, a group that is said to have crossover relationships with the Kerry campaign and the Democratic Party. Besides Korb, the Center's "experts" include former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta and Kerry economic advisor Gene Sperling.

The White House spokesman reiterated that all documents available concerning the president's service record have been released. He recalled that in February 2004, Bush directed that all the personnel, payroll, and medical records be made public.

Campanini (and I can't remember his rank), who appeared on Fox News last week, raised this question about OETR. He said that abbreviation was wrong, that it was OER.

I'd seen it sveral times, we'd commented on it before, and could not determine where it might have "come" from . It was clearly wrong, but other than that, we couldn't figure out why it was wrong.

This will go in the "list"

has there ever been any light shone on Staudt? I know he's still living and all I've read is that no one has interviewed him. Is he well? Have there been ANY revelations about him?

One more fact for you to chew on as you digest all this. A Google search of the phrase "officer effectiveness report" returns over 400 results. A search of "officer effectiveness training report" returns only 10. And every last one of them has to do with George W. Bush supposedly being AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard.

PRICELESS!

Wow.........do we need any more proof that the rats taylor made the forged docs to fit their Bush AWOL agenda???? Unbelievable.

He hasn't spoken. His health has not been reported, other than he is alive. But one has to ask what value would be obtained from his input. If he was this "mythical figure" that CBS asserts he is (able to influence ANG Officers 18 months after his retirement), then CBS has the burden of producing some of the officers who held Staudt in such esteem.

None of that is necessary to prove these documents are forgeries.

Just one little item. The address PO Box 34567, is a bit dubious ...

No it's not.

See page 9, Box #16 for PO Box 34567, 111st FIS, etc.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/2004-02-14-bush-docs.htm <-- !!
Links to ALL of the released documents from Bush. Independent from Marty's site. Get the whole set. Do research. Be informed! It's fun, and it's free.
