Fineman and Zelnick were highly critical of Rather's arrogant declaration to "Prove Us Wrong".
They said that is not a proper journalistic standard. Onus is on CBS to use authentic documents: originals.
They both encouraged Rather and CBS to reconsider their untenable position.
The criticism was significant, and it was from mainstream news personalities who were not wearing pajamas.
This story has legs, even in the MSM.
Rather will be doing some more backpedalling soon, I predict.
It was quite refreshing to realize this isn't an issue simply on the internet.
I'm not holding my breath that they will do any such thing, but they should unless they are willing to accept the damage to their reputation.
Im pretty certain from public domain that sKerry has Mental probs
Witness the reports of sleepwalking and Night Terrors
It's kind of funny that o'Reilly's need to sound "impartial" is turning out to be his ruination. He winds up being unfair...even hammering...people and positions that are by far the more reasonable than those he defends.
He was much better when he wasn't afraid to have an opinion and defend it without caring what anyone thought. He apparently is now most concerned with ratings and book sales.
He has "jumped the shark".
Who 'He'????
With several posts before yours, I don't know who "he" is
I'm wholly unimpressed.
The other members of the ID MSM are covering for their peers.
The correct answer is that the story is a fraud and CBS is either corrupt or stupid. That's the only way to phrase the story.
Even FOX is describing how CBS can get out of this mess.
They didn't pass the honesty test. This is a test for all of the media and they all failed. Fox included.
I;ve been smiling for days! Won't get Scarborough for a couple of hours...Can't wait. Properly attired in jammies.
I hope the shareholders of Viacom demand the resignation of the CEO of viacom over this. Make the CEO lose his salary and perks. Then the proverbial poop will definatelye flow down the proverbial hill.
Limbacher.
I have this image of Rather in about a week, holding up a used typewriter ribbon, ink on his hands, screaming...here is the original...it is all right here. I took the time to see what is typed on the ribbon.
"If Kerry becomes President, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see the government censor political speech on the net."
It's not Kerry I'm worried about: http://www.zpub.com/un/billc-5.html
Hillary and Internet "Gatekeeping"
"We are all going to have to rethink how we deal with this, because there are all these competing values ... Without any kind of editing function or gatekeeping function, what does it mean to have the right to defend your reputation?" she said. --First Lady: Net News Needs Scrutiny Reuters @wired
