1) We have electronic voting machines here, which the Rats are trying to discredit. 2) Florida is right down the road, which will be in play.
During the 2000 election we had more votes than Florida that were not counted (bad ballots etc). It only matters in close elections (punch ballots). I have seen no problems with the computer polls...although a friend told me...people can tell how you vote. We had a shooting (policman, but he's ok, the bad guy is dead) here during a local election. People could not get to the polls...A lady named Byrd won by 6 votes, but there was some kind of problem and we are having a new election. I thought it was because of the shootings, but I here there was some kind of shenanigans going on- both are Republicans...the winner is unopposed in the general election (most of our elections are decided by primary). I heard that Ms. Byrd's husband who is in law enforcement told all his guys to go vote for Ms. Byrd (Gina Carr is the other candidate)and that he would know how these guys voted. My friend swears you can keep track of who votes for whom which I find disturbing.
