It reminded me of the 50's classic morality films.
And the Driver's Ed film "Highway of DEATH".

I missed the VD film in basic training. I know I got back and all the guys were laughing. The memorable part was them quoting the chaplain. "Chaplain said, 'Don't go into the rain without your rubbers.'"

Years later I became a chaplain. By then, they'd dispensed with the VD file.

I never got to use the line.

It was so doggone corny, that I know I would have.
