I just finished watching the all-star round table discussion with Brit Hume, Fred Barnes, Mort Kondracke, and Mara Liasson on Fox. No longer are they giving serious consideration to the possibility the Bush ANG documents are not fakes. Even Liasson more or less admitted there was no chance they were real. She also admitted the burden of proof was on the people making the allegation, and that this had "blown-up" in the face of the Bush-haters.
This segment was notable in that this is the first time I've seen the issue treated without the seemingly-obligatory agnosticism we've been seeing. They said they were fake and took CBS to task. Kudos to Brit Hume for pointing out this had virtually nothing to do with Bush showing up in Alabama, but contained new allegations about favorable treatment and pressure from higher-ups that have no substantiation if the documents are fake. Liasson grudgingly agreed.
In fact, to paraphrase a former Texas governor, she looked like she realized there was nothing she could do about it, so ... you know the rest.
I want to se more stories about the forged documents on all the news stations and less stories on that Scott Peterson jerk!

Scoll on down and read the impressive resume of the Fox expert..Way to go Fox!
MS Word 2000 - $120.00
Laser Printer - $399.00
Paper and dozens of copies of copies - $35.00
Expert to say fake documents are real --$10,000.00
Seeing CBS go down in flames -- priceless
Real evidence can't be bought ... for everything else there's MasterCard.
I cannot believe he is still standing behind those docs!
Newt Gingrich, 'father of the our Republican house' , was the best speaker of the house ever, and that's why he was brought down by the Democrats and forced to resign.
I don't know why Rush Limbaugh keeps bringing up Nixon when talking about Rather. Rush at times chucks the truth so as avoid a rumble.
I really appreciated Schwartzenegger's convention speech saying how he chose the Republican Party because of what Nixon said it was. Nixon won by a landslide and that got the Democrats fuming. They ruined Nixon through the press just as CBS is attempting now.
It's sad so many Republicans threw the towel on one of their own.
so Juan Williams was not there today? do you think after his temper tantrum last week, they put him in a time out?
Mara did try to take the conversation to the content of the docs but Brit brought her back to his discussion of CBS. Brit is a real journalist of the New Media.
i wonder if dan is going to shove ed bradley out to the press ala nixon/ziegler?
Fred Barnes looked and sounded seriously peeved tonight. He kept cutting off poor Mort.
There were some good points made about sKerry's inability to provide any coherent plan for Iraq or N. Korea.
Thank you CBS. And I thought y'all in the old media would be helping out John F. Kerry instead of Pres. George W. Bush. I feel terrible for doubting you Dan. P.s. please drop another forged document 72 hours before the election just to make sure it's a landslide. We don't want the Kerry lawyers stealing any close races.
Sincerely,
Karl Rove.
Wiping off keyboard, ROFLOL!
I gather you don't care much for O'Reilly. I can't blame you. I listened to about 3 minutes of his radio show today discussing this issue and he said he didn't care to have his staff verify that these documents are real are not....
I changed the radio station.
Although I considered him arrogant early on, I thought he was a pretty clear thinker at the time. I wouldn't say that now.
I think Ann Coulter summed him up him pretty good in one of her recent articles by saying, "There is the Bill O'Reilly method, which is to abandon independent thinking and simply come out in the middle, irrespective of where the two sides are."
Well, in the last few weeks, Mara has been refreshingly honest. On some topics, she has been more to the point than Barnes or Mort, althought I still think NONE of them get the fact that every minute stupid CBS continues this idiocy is another minute ticking off Lurch's clock toward sun up . . . when he disappears.
I just heard O'Reilly treat this all nonchalantly..I think he would think it was great investigative reporting if HE did it.
Oh I think many of us are much happier watching Mara.
#34...I switched channels....He just blows it off.
Rush did an excellent job of showing how CBS cannot back off this story now. They might have Friday, but now are lashed to it like a sinking ship, because the only result of an "investigation" will be to link a Kerry operative to the memo, and we are no longer talking election loss, but a monstrous landslide.
goto IBM.com and ust Contact Us at the bottom of the page.
No Juan? Poor baby, must have called in sick. Quite a stressful time for him. First the Swiftees, now this.
(Actually, he seems like a nice guy, just a little over-emotional on this one)
O'reilly is losing it. Hannity and Colmes is beating him in the ratings and his viewers are dropping like a rock.
We expect to hear real factual analysis and not this middle of the road gobbly goop. I think he wants to be buddies with P Diddy and Ben Affleck. Next thing we know, he will be caught at one of those Manhatten cocktail parties.
