I hope baseball fans around the country will follow suit by donating and voting for G. W. Bush this November.

And Peter Angelos, class-action trial shyster and the sorry owner of the Orioles, is one of the most prominent fundraisers in America for John Kerry and the Democrats.

The Dems try to paint Bush as evil, but how about this:
Bush also has picked up contributions from players and coaches - including a manager he once fired. Bobby Valentine, axed by Bush as manager of the Texas Rangers in 1992, gave the president the maximum $4,000 this year.
How many people would be so devoted to a former boss who fired them? That speaks pretty well of Bush.

Nice post. I wonder if after 2008 our W might want to be baseball commissioner. That would be awesome. He would straighten out any little piddling problems.

``The baseball platform was for him to springboard into politics,'' said Bruce Buchanan, a longtime Bush watcher and University of Texas government professor. ``He was the face of the Texas Rangers, as well as a substantial partner in the economic side for some years, and that enabled him to become acquainted with all of these figures.'' Well he did a great job for the Rangers. If he had screwed it up, does anyone think he would have been able win political office?
