My apologies for being unclear. My point was the same as yours---Rush does NOT purport to be a journalist:
However, in his defense, he doesn't purport to be a journalist. Like Rush Limbaugh, he is a political talk show host.

"Unfortunately there are several applications that I like that don't have a Linux version or viable alternative, so I do wind up using Windows XP most of the time."
Fortunately, over 90% of the work I do on a computer can be done on linux. I use SuSE 9.0 Pro. I use windows sparingly and go days without rebooting. Now that I am getting used to Open Office, windows is mostly for playing movies, games, and newsletters.

"Malkin dodged the question. So Matthews asked it again. And again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again".Should read:
"Matthews dodged the answer. So Malkin answered it again. And again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again".

YES! I saw Matthews' bludgeoning of Malkin and Miller delivering his comeuppance.
Matthews' ratings will go up I'm sure.
Though it's a long way from 0.3 to respectable cable ratings. Matthews will be back to an alsoran on Nov. 3rd.

Matthews likes to ask questions that have no good answer. Like this. Would you rather kill kittens or puppies?

In fact, you WERE clear. My apologies, I see your point.
Although not totally germane, I am sure that you would
agree that the distinction between Limbaugh and Matthews
is that Limbaugh doesn't pretend to be neutral, Matthews
does. Maybe it is because of the nature of the mediums
they each serve.

"Journalistic integrity is officially dead..." I wish that all 'journalists' could be immediately fired and replaced with people who wish to be 'reporters'. Years ago they were called 'reporters'. Just give me the friggin' news...then shut up. I don't need 'journalists' giving me their opinions.

Is David Bauder a pen-name sometimes used by Chris Matthews?
I don't think it's a good idea for Chris Matthews (or David Bauder, or whatever name he might be using) to go on the road. When CM/DB gets from behind a desk, the gut hanging over his belt ruins every camera angle.
To: Arnold Zephel
Wow -- I'm hearing echoes of the past: Geraldo. Remember him? Seems to me, MSNBC, is creating a newer Geraldo "figure": Chris Matthews.

Jeez, you think maybe Bauder wears knee pads when he scrivens?

MSNBC has quickly moved to take advantage of Sen. Zell Miller's combative GOP convention interview with Chris Matthews, Considering the underhanded methods Matthews used in that interview, prehaps his show should be called Spitball.
