Let me guess.....they found a memo stating that Bush was chewing gum while saluting his superior officer?

Don't they get it??? Nobody CARES about Bush's Guard days OR Kerry's Vietnam medals. Nobody cares. It's today that counts to most voters.

And the inescapable conclusion is....today Kerry sucks, and today Bush has brass ones.

End of story.

They are going to release an old GWB campaign flyer from the 1970s that says he served in the USAF and the TANG. They already have this as the lead story on DU. They are going orgasmic over it, claiming that Bush lied in his campaign literature about having served in the US Air Force.

This is a big time bomb which was to be their October surprise, but given their collapsing polls, they have decided to bring it on now.

Problem is, everything after Frenchie's departure from Viet Nam is progressively worse for him politically. He has no choice. He has to keep the Era in the news or Joe Couchpotato will start thinking hey why didn't this guy go to prison 25 years ago?

As stupid as is seems on the surface, this is a very smart move on the part of the Kerry Campaign and the DNC, it is vitally important that the Bush campaign realize what is going on and does not fall for it. The Kerry campaign is throwing all this garbage they know will not fly because eventhough it has no basis in fact it does two important things:

1) It keeps the focus on President Bush and his National Guard duty, as opposed to Kerry's fraudulant Vietnam duty.

2) More importantly, it keeps the focus off of Kerry and his 20 year Senate voting record!

As long as the spotlight is off of Kerry and his abismal record the less the American voting public will know about him and can thus be duped into voting for Kerry over the "evil Bush."

Like I said, the RNC had better not fall for this, they need to keep their eyes on the prize and keep the pressure up on attacking Kerry where it hurts, his Senate record and his consistent votes to gut the millitary.
