DNC TO LAUNCH FRESH ATTACK ON BUSH GUARD DUTY:  WILL RAISE QUESTIONS ABOUT 1978 CAMPAIGN LIT

**Exclusive**

Faster than a CBS eye can blink, dogged Dems are set to take to the airwaves anew hoping to keep questions about President Bush's National Guard duty in play, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Candidate Kerry apparently has rejected former President Clinton's advice not to get further locked in a 2004 Vietnam quagmire.

"George W. Bush's campaign literature claimed that he 'served in the U.S. Air Force.' The only problem? He didn't,"  slams a new DNC press release set for distribution.

Dems will attempt to increase the heat on Bush ahead of his planned Tuesday address before The National Guard Association gathering in Las Vegas.

In 2000, Bush opened his National Guard Association speech: "General, I am reporting for duty."

MORE

Kerry plans to speak to the group on Thursday, but he personally hold back questioning Bush's service, sources explain.

The coordinated nationwide effort this week by the DNC has been code-named "Project Fortunate Son."

"George Bush has a clear pattern of lying about his military service," DNC Communications Director Jano Cabrera blasts in the new release. "From 1978 to the present day, George Bush has refused to tell voters the truth about his service. It's time for the President to come clean."

"Flyers distributed to Texas voters during Bush's failed Congressional race say 'he served in the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard.' But according to Air Force officials, Air National Guardsmen are not counted as members of the active-duty Air Force."

Yeah that the ticket, remind the voters that Bush was flying jets for 4 years instead of missing physicals and being AWOL.

Good move by the geniuses at Skerry campaign headquarters.

Imagine what these morons would do to this country if they ran the WOT like they are running this campaign.

Can someone dig up some of Kerry's first adds when he ran for the Senate?

Funny you bring that up. That is exactly what Zell Miller brought to the party when he said Kerry was against the F-15, F-16, MX, etc., etc., etc. Kerry had a two page laundry list of hardware programs that he would work to cancel while in office. His "against" the military wasn't evidenced by procedural votes or other "nuances," his position was clearly stated in his campaign literature.

I thought someone said they didn't do urine tests, etc., in the 70's?

I saw the same posts you did; according to them, drug testing started in 1981.

This is turning into a 4th grade schoolyard shout down ( Oh yea , my dad's bigger than yours , I have more medals than you nahhh nahhh

LOL. Thing is, that's all Boy Kerry has, 4th-rate arguments and not one single principle.

This is so silly. When I got called up and deployed last year during OIF, I think of that time as time in the Marine Corps. I worked with active duty and reserve Marines, and there were no distinctions.

Now that I am off active duty and still go to drills, I think of myself as a Marine Reservist.

Lt Bush did almost TWO YEARS active duty training with the USAF. I am sure he felt the same as I do. He was on active duty for twice as long training as I recently was for the Iraq war.

No fraud. No evil intent to deceive.

This is a crystal clear indication that these clowns haven't the faintest idea of what it is like in the military.

Do you have sources for that? I'm series. This needs to get out via the NSM (new stream media) if legit. It could be hugh!

Technically true. While President Bush was in training, he would have been in a "non-chargeable" training status and he would not be counted against the number of airmen alloted to the active force.

At least that's how Marines in training are counted; any Air Force personnel people out there please correct me if I'm wrong.

Perhaps if more DUmmies actually served in the military they would know these things...

Ah, so! Now we find out that Kerry's "I am reporting for duty" speech in 2004 wasn't even original -- he was copying G W Bush!

LOL

Well whats good for the goose is good for the gander..from johnkerry.com

John Kerry enlisted in the Navy in 1966. After completing Naval Officer Candidates School, he began his first tour of duty on the USS Gridley, a guided-missile frigate in the waters adjacent to Vietnam. In 1968, John Kerry began his second tour of duty, and volunteered to serve on a Swift Boat, one of the most dangerous assignments of the war. Swift Boats patrolled the narrow inlets and canals around the Mekong Delta "to draw fire and smoke out the enemy," according to the The Boston Globe.

To the men who served with him, John Kerry was "one of the most daring skippers in the US Navy, relentlessly and courageously engaging the enemy,"

Cool. let them keep on insulting people. In their warped world, meeting with the enemy in Paris is honorable. We need to launch a new, merciless offensive on this guy. Watching the rally against the traitor really made me amped, we need to get the word out to the American people about the traitor.

I hope Drudge really goes after the See B.S. Forgeries tonight. Drudge is really good when he goes after the Leftwing princes of the press.

Believe me once this line of attack comes out the millions of national guardsmen out there will be totally PO'd, unless they are Kerry partisans.

I hope so. I hope they are very vocal. Kerry has spent an enormous amount of time inferring an amount of cowardice exsists in the Guard. I must admit to a bit of bewilderment that I have not heard former NG Members express outrage.

Thinking back at the beginning of Kerry's existence it could have all been orchestrated by Bubba and his elves. Let's face it, the "Dean scream" could have gone either way, it could have been viewed as a positive overexuberence or as it was as a wacko candidate who had to be destroyed "for the good of the party". Maybe the Clintonistas were afraid of Dean, but not the least bit worried about f'ing. Just a guess.

Howdy folks first time poster here. Been visiting here on and off for years. Been lurking for the last couple of weeks and decided to register.

The Kerry kool-aid drinkers are really on the run. These guys are like the gang that couldn't shoot straight. They just step in one cow-pie after another it seems. It's a site to behold. You have got to give them some credit though no matter how deep they get in or how ridiculous they become they never give up.

Is W going to lose any sleep over this?

Hell no. He sleeps like a baby. He hasn't even taken his guns out of their holsters. Kerry is steady shooting himself in the foot, and now his allies are shooting at him. W stands for "Whatever".

A "Corn" article, as in David Corn of The Nation, the losing commie rag that had to be saved by Paul Newman and his million bucks? Gee, that is really powerful ammo. ( I say sarcastically) Moveon.org's Kerry Kit of propaganda has an article by David Corn. Consider the source.
