John Weisman is the author who also co-wrote the "Rogue Warrior" books, with Naval Spec warrior Captain Richard Marcinko.
These books (fiction)which appear to have such over-the-top unlikely plotting and background to most at the time, have proven to have sadly and horribly prophetic scenarios.

OK, it's an opinion that it's not a large crowd. In truth, it's the biggest of alltime, and no one here honestly wishes there were more. Hooboy. "The leftists are excellent at protests - our side simply is not. But to get 500-1000 at this protest sounds like a very good turnout to me. You may need to adjust your expectations."
That's your OPINION. If you think 1000 is a good turnout, that's fine. If you think the mainstram public--not the MSM--think that's an impressive number for a march on Washington, well, that's your opinion. I odn't think it matches many other folks's.
You're right about the left and marches. Which is why the internet is so important for the right, same with radio--the internet was a great tool for those who couldn't or wouldn't express themselvesi n marches or even Op-Ed pieces, but it's the most direct tool for communication.
I've known quite a few protesters from the left who admitted it was mostly a SOCIAL engagement. Those WTO crowds are mostly young people wnaitng to get together with others of their ideological type. I don't think the right feels the need and, like me, think such protests are their thing. (They don't need their point of view validated by their peers the way young leftists seem to.)
