The border patrol, which is run by the Department of Homeland Security, refuses to break down OTMs by country.
Not entirely true, since we have had the OTM figures posted here on FR before. I wonder if this is another example of a lazy journalist at work? And if that is true, how much of the rest of the investigative piece is subject to further scrutiny?
hehehe. beat ya.
bttt - this has got to stop
It many be that the national policy isn't to release the OTM figures. Mustn't alarm the natives, you know.
The OTM figures I saw posted here were from the AZ district.
Probably some further scrutiny --- but the numbers are certainly believable --- massive exodus of it's citizens has not benefitted Mexico and now with the exploding crime rates and totally un-self-reliant economy it has, Mexicans are even more desperate to get out.
Is English still spoken there?
The OTM figures were posted on FR approximately two to three weeks prior to the order for the BP to keep their mouths shut regarding the OTMs. The article was posted on FR.
IIRC, the order came out after ASA H. had the meeting with John and Ken. There was a BP agent in the audience who evidently spoke about the OTMs and was applauded and ASA got booed. This may be the reason for the order.
