SANTA FE (AP) - Santa Fe police say an anti-war protest turned physical at a site where the state Department of Transportation is considering banning demonstrations.
The scuffle broke out Friday between an anti-war protester and the sole pro-Bush protester on a traffic island at a busy intersection.
Robert DiGiulio, who carried a sign comparing President Bush to a Nazi, says Richard Corrow hit him in the face and knocked him out of his wheelchair.
But Corrow, whose sign offered a $1,000 reward to anyone who can prove Bush lied about Iraq, says DiGuilio started it by screaming at him and ramming him with the wheelchair.
Peace Action New Mexico has been organizing protests at the corner for two years.
No arrests were made.
A traffic engineer has argued the protests could distract drivers.

At our support troops rally in Indianapolis, an anti-war kook decided to stand up in front of the stage and flip off the audience. He interrupted a fireman who was talking about his experience at ground zero. After some of our guys started yelling at him to get out of there the police came and took him away.
Of course the media report were either silent about the incident or treated us as the aggressors.

Now that's the kind of political incorrectness I can sink my teeth into. Smacking an A*&wipe in a wheelchair.

Yup. Be careful people. We saw alot of this at the Gore Protests outside of "Cheney's house". They come across the street and get in your face, hoping you'll react violently - as the LeftStream camera's are rolling. In contrast, a leftie shoved an 8 year old girl to the pavement and the camera-crews didn't care enough to capture it on tape.Their hope will become reality if I ever see something like that.....

I agreee, but thats what they want - the 6 o'clock news won't have video of you coming to the girls rescue, just snips of you bashing on the Leftie with commentary like "Republicans attacked peaceful protestor".

Wonder when shots will be fired? Right at the beginning of the civil war that will start after the Election of 2004 when GWB wins re-election.

Hope this is not the same Richard Corrow...In 1996, Richard Nelson Corrow of Scottsdale, Arizona, was convicted under the criminal provisions of Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). His conviction is believed to be the first one under the new federal law. Following is a summary of that case in which medicine bundles and ceremonial masks were recovered. http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cid/arttheft/northamerica/us/navajostix/navajostix.htm

I'm sorry but guys in wheel chairs get the same exception that girls do. They CAN hit you and you CAN'T hit them back. Flipping him out of his chair is un-gentlemanly and only makes conservatives look bad (VERY BAD).
The most you can do is restrain them so they can't hurt you or leave. Life's tough. This may be an unfamiliar situation for women, now you know what it's like.

I would have been very tempted to have assaulted the media.

Frankly, I am growing weary of stupid people, unemployed people and fat people. And yes, his anti-Bush protester was all three. I walk around and see all these folks who are stupid, lazy and fat. This is not what Americans are supposed to be. After two centuries of winning wars, conquering the west, surviving famine, pestilence, disease and exile, we all should be lean & agile, physically & mentally. No room for dumb fatsos in my US of A.
In my ideal world, America would have a test of all citizens to determine if they are physically and morally fit. Those who fail the test will be shipped off to to Romania, Mongolia or France.
Living in this country is a privilege, not a right. Time for people to start understanding this!

We've got plenty of ammo. If the lefties want to "take to the streets", well, this quote from The Cannonball Run seems appropriate:
"God, I hope so. It'll give me an excuse."
