Shotgun John

With deer and waterfowl hunting seasons opening up around the nation, the Kerry/Edwards campaign is dangling some bait to hook the Cabelas vote.

Whispers learns it will announce a 'Sportsman's Bill of Rights' as early as this week.

Topping the six point plan is the 'right to own firearms.'

A draft reads, 'Gun rights are fundemental for the sport of hunting.'

Kerry will also propose paying landowners to give access to the hook and bullet crowd.

Proof that Kerry slept through history and civics classes

They didn't teach American history and civics in French boarding schools.

Hey, Johnnies - God Almighty gave me the right to keep and bear arms and the Founding Fathers reaffirmed that right.

Now go Leahy yourselves.

The second amendment is to protect 'we the people' from the government...should elitists like Kerry ever come to power....

Why doesn't Kerry openly state...that the 2nd Amendment is not a collective right but an individual one

Perhaps because that is what Attorney General Ashcroft has already said?

Kerry is a Liar...and a gun grabber...he will do anything say anything promise anything to get power...

Kerry is also one who betrays and has betrayed those foolish enough to trust him

The families of POWs MIAs convinced the govt. to send John F Kerry to Hanoi to negotiate the release of our people....

Kerry promised to be a fighter and not back down from Hanoi or Washington....

When he came back he parroted the North Vietnamese Party line.....that there were NO POWs or MIAs left in Vietnam...

For that betrayal his cousin Forbes landed a big fat real estate contract for the Colliers Company

Sportsman bill....indeed.....

The difference between Kerry and Benedict Arnold is that Gen Arnold actually was a war hero

imo

I notice that when Kerry picks up a gun, he chooses the fairy sport of upland game hunting or shooting clay pigeons.
I don't doubt that his cheapest shotgun is thousands of dollars.

I'd think more highly of the guy if he went deer hunting.

Just kidding, I enjoy sporting clays and upland game myself.
But if there is a politically correct way to shoot, it is surely one where you use an expensive shotgun, preferably a side by side.

Hunting? The second amendment is in place so that the people will have the means to take back their country from a tyrannical judiciary, traitorous president and/or a subversive media.

"Sorry, Mr. Vice President, but maybe Sen. John Kerry had it right with his talk of a "sensitive" military after all"

This also was on that same link to U.S. NewsReport.
If I remember correctly Kerry did not say anything about a 'sensitive' military, but waging a more sensitive war.
You can have parts of the military that are engaged in compassionate activites, but the WAR must be waged with vigour and toughness.

"(Kerry/Edwards to Unveil 'Sportsmans Bill of Rights' This Week)"

Will one decent conservative really fall for this hookum? I'm glad the Democrats are trying this stuff because it is so transparent it will reinforce even more the viewpoint that Kerry is not to be trusted.

The Democrats would love to convince everyone that the 2nd is about hunting. That way makes it unimportant and easily done away with later.

Ever notice how in all pics of Kerry handling a gun he's grimacing? Even women I know don't flinch when ejecting shell casings. what a wussy.

Didn't he go to a boarding school in Europe?

If so - not surprising he is so clueless about what it means to be an American.

You were born with those rights. The Constitution merely "puts it in writing".

BIG bump on that brother!

(Disagree on one minor point though. I've long said the 10th Amendment should be the 1st.)

John forgets where political power comes from, which is odd, because I always thought he and Mao were buds.

"And you can let them hunt for free."

For sure; either of these options aka 'Rights' seemed to have been overlooked by Kerry.

Or more to the point; it gives a ring of 'fairness' to a soundbite to some sheepleminded; and just belies the usual darker intentions of a Leftist.

The thought of Heinz/Kerry 'taking care' of our business is a contemplation as painful as the threat of terrorism.

Unlikely. This is pitiful, like the rest of his alleged campaign.

John Fraud Kerry has informed all sportsmen & hunters that the weapon he is pictured with IS available to all US citizen. However, the military version will be banned because he's never known any sportsmen or hunter that needs to fire 'military spit balls."

These two guys are a pair. They belong together, but we don't need them leading our nation.

Oh thats right John Kerry invented the Constitution now... isn't that wonderful .. and his bill of rights will probably limited a majority of freedoms that the original constitution guarantees...

What is the problem with this guy?
