One would need a Rather large litter box to catch all of Kitty's scat...perhaps she & GungaDan can get political asylum in Cuba.

The full details of George Bush's military service are in the new book by Kitty Kelley by the good offices of the Texas Veterans for Truth

and says that the disputed Killian memos, cited by Dan Rather, are also in the book.

Connecting some dots here;

Did Anti-Bush Author, CBS Share Same Source?

They must have. Unless I've missed something, no one but a coterie of rats knew about the memos before the 60 Minutes hit piece.

Liberal blogger Pablo Kristophoros of IndyMedia was given a preview copy of the book by the publisher, and says that the disputed Killian memos, cited by Dan Rather, are also in the book.

How good is this. Before it is even released, it has already two sources that discredit it:
1. The fake Killiam memos
2. Sharon Bush saying that Kitty Kelly is making things up.

This is not a credible source -- nowhere in the indymedia post does "Pablo Kristophoros" actually state that he has a review copy of the book. His post is simply a regurgitation of supposed content of the book that's been floating around for weeks. And this indymedia author quotes John Boutillier of Newsmax as a credible source, which he most assuredly is not.

Also, the New York Daily News actually got a review copy of the book, and described the book like this:

The new Kitty Kelley book that has the Bush campaign's underwear in a bunch is more catty than explosive.

It does claim that President Bush snorted cocaine at Camp David. It does repeat rumors that he arranged an illegal abortion for an ex-girlfriend. And it does accuse First Lady Laura Bush of once being a pothead.

But the sourcing for these accusations is thin and there are no other big surprises in Kelley's much anticipated "The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty."

Also, the Daily News adds this:

Kelley offers no new insights into Bush's controversial stint in the Texas Air National Guard.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/story/230975p-198371c.html

Anyhow, forgive me if I'm overstepping my bounds, but I think you should take your story down. The blogger you're quoting is simply not credible, for many reasons. For one thing, if the book contained anything close to the other stuff he's claiming, it would be in this article. But it's not, and the Daily News article specifically mentions that "Kelley offers no new insights into Bush's controversial stint in the Texas Air National Guard." So this is a dot I don't think can be connected.

the network said the disputed documents "were provided by unimpeachable sources."

Well we all know that Bill Clinton couldn't be "impeached".

Kelley's produced yet another big, fat, full of lies and smears dud. Her tv persona is RATHER clever, though. Perky, smiles all around, innocent little girl voice. Why she'd never write anything libelous. No lies would ever pass through those pink rosebud lips.(Except for those stuffed in her other books.) Thoroughly discredited and in the gutter where she belongs.

The abbreviation OETR in the 18 AUG 73 memo looks like a blood trail to track down the source of these forgeries and those involved in the fraud scheme. It should be OER (officer efficiency report). OETR wasn't listed at a site for military abbreviations. A google search for OETR and Texas Air National Guard but not Bush showed zero results. Find the first documented usage of OETR and you should be pretty close to the source of the documents.

This is obviously a well-orchestrated multimedia attack on Bush. In a matter of less than one week:

1. Barnes is interviewed by Rather.
2. Rather releases the forged documents.
3. The forged documents are in a book that was put to bed months ago.

Coincidence, I think not.

Well if the Killian memos are published, that changes everything. They MUST be authentic! (LOL)

That means the (whisper:)secret documents that CBS just obtained were "out there" a couple of months ago, and the powers that be have been waiting for the Kelly tripe to be printed, bound, shipped and ready to go before breathlessly announcing the just obtained documents and the bombshell (read: old rehashed) story contained within.

Fingers-in-the-pie bump!

I agree that we should be suspect of this report until we can see proof.

I'm not going to begin to say that the people posting here have the same background as educated journalists. We are citizens conversing in a respectable manner. I mention this because the underlying issue here is "contempt" for this underground forum. Rather and the old guard see it as a threat, when we are not.

I would wager that the vast majority of us would listen and respect a liberal point of view in this forum, if it were convincing and didn't have the tag line "It is well accepted that GWB did not meet his obligation in the Natinal Guard.

"Where did the documents come from? CBS won't say

. Why?

Why won't CBS state where it got its memos from?

If CBS wants to discredit a sitting President, is it ok for them to use second hand materials that cannot be authorized as genuine in order to to this before the American people before an election?

Exactly WHY does CBS not state where it got the memos.

Is there a problem with doing this?

forgery has no first amendment protection.

CBS can be forced to reveal who provided the forgeries because there is no first amendment protection.

It is just a question of which agency and willpower.

The neocoms are squirming, and justifiably so.
It would not surprise me if this book is "delayed". Providing more and more evidence of fraud, criminal acts and conspiracy is not a good thing. Even morons can figure it out, eventually.
