I don't think carpenter's glue works on plastic very well.

And Bill Burkett is a Democratic Party shill and heavyweight wannabe. 2002 party chair race letters - http://www.geocities.com/stoutdem/bb525.html
2004 Dem candidate for Supreme Court Justice Van Os is/was his attorney against the Guard and Burkett is working faithfully on the current campaign.

What better way for Billy Boy to get Dem attention than pad the AWOL lie.

"When enough money if offered - ANYONE will change their testimony or statement whether under oath or not. It is the nature of the beast." a quote from Oliver W. Frey.

Washingtom Post reports
"Neither Congressman Bush nor any other member of the Bush family asked Barnes' help. Barnes has no knowledge that Governor Bush or President Bush knew of Barnes' recommendation," That's the WaPo link I've been looking For. Thanks a ton!!!!

While I am not a big fan of Jerry Falwell I think this is a very well written article.
GOOD JOB REVEREND...YOU OLD BASTARD.

Barnes raised half a million for Kerry.
He also wasn't under oath on the 60 Minute II program, and I'm sure he didn't sign anything to attest to the truthfulness of his statements.

He's saying that someone else asked him to get GWB in the TANG. That's not the pressure point of his new "testimony". He's lying because he wasn't Lt Gov at the time W entered the TANG. At that time, early 1968, Barnes wasn't in a position to pull those strings.
But the premise of this thread is false, because Barnes is not now saying he was asked by a Bush to pull strings.

At that time, early 1968, Barnes wasn't in a position to pull those strings. As Speaker of the House in the Texas legislature, he may have been able to pull some strings in 1968, but he stated that he pulled those strings as lt. governor.

Barnes was also accused by a federal prosecutor of stealing over $500,000 from the Texas Lottery during a case of the same thing in New Jersey.
