I think many of the family members know, because they were told in advance. When the WTC was built, people would hypothesize about what if... At the time, they never imagined or had any concept of "terrorism".

There was a movie in the 70's, "Towering Inferno". Again, what if...

IMHO, the people who worked there always had "what if" buried in their minds. Maybe not all discussed it with their families, friends, or co-workers, but I imagine many were prepared for their fate.

Also, IMHO, the pictures should be shown, but the story itself should be left alone. If there are survivors or family members that choose to come forward, that is their perogative. Otherwise, let their very personal choices and stories alone.

Every time (of the hundreds) I took the elevator in One or Two I thought "what if", especially after being rocked by the '93 bomb. I never felt that way in the ESB or any of the dozens of other Sky Scrapers I spent time in. The Trade Center always felt plastic.
