However, even if their hearts are contrite, without Jesus, no matter what their hearts may feel about what happened, from a Christian perspective, it will not bring them to salvation. I speak as a Christian, so for a non-Christian, this I'm sure seems close minded. From a Christian perspective... Biblically speaking its the only way to gain eternal life.

I know that almost all religious beliefs feel that their way is the only way... So as I say this is My feeling based on my understandings of the Bible.

The problem with Islam is that it is spread by the sword. Personally, I think it's the Bizarro version of the Old and New Testaments. A rewrite by Mohammed for his own ends. If they were peaceful, and howled at the moon, I would consider it their own affair. Alas, their jihadistans do not spread a message of peace.
