Here is an animated GIF, alternating between the PDF version of the Microsoft Word document I created, and the CBS News original.
And it's amazing that these people think that forgery and lying will work.
Dan Rather's excuse is that the copies we are seeing aren't "as good" as his photocopy. Of course, a photocopy is not as good as the original typed and handsigned letter.
The genuine letter does not exist and so a typewritten original will never be revealed. The signature on the bottom can be genuine if it was scanned in from another document. Let's see the ballpoint signature on the original.
Dan Rather needs to put up or shut up. He needs to be hounded out of the profession over this. He's a bigger laughing stock than Geraldo Rivera was after opening "Capone's vault" on live television.
It's frightening that these people think that they are justified in persuading the public with forgeries.
Old Commie trick. I have no use for them in my government.

It would be cheaper and better to just let CBS collapse into bankruptcy, Fox is already gaining viewership at the expense of CBS. Starting a new, even more conservative network would be a better use of money rather than trying to overcome the "poison pills" undoubtedly in place to prevent takeovers
got it up, thanks

Nice site! Make sure you include what ABC News is reporting (they have changed the text somewhat since the last update):

HODGES SAID HE WAS MISLED BY CBS: Retired Maj. General Hodges, Killian's supervisor at the Grd, tells ABC News that he feels CBS misled him about the documents they uncovered. According to Hodges, CBS told him the documents were "handwritten" and after CBS read him excerpts he said, "well if he wrote them that's what he felt."
Hodges also said he did not see the documents in the 70's and he cannot authenticate the documents or the contents. His personal belief is that the documents have been "computer generated" and are a "fraud".
Hey was Elvis with him?
Sue CBS!!!!!!!!!!!
I got that link up already in story.
I will be away from the PC for awhile, family time, if anything develops on this can someone post to me or email?
Thanks.

Sorry, I think the one I posted from LGF is better and more clear, especially with the blinking.
Yes, it's good for what it does, but it doesn't show the degree of colocalization. The yellow is everything that is actually in the very same place between the two documents.
