Here is an animated GIF, alternating between the PDF version of the Microsoft Word document I created, and the CBS News original.
Like I was saying on one post the other day, is it me or does the "original document" look like it has just one too many dots/specks around it? As if someone dotted it with a ballpoint pen in an attempt to make it look old or worn? I looked at a large copy of it yesterday, and I swear those do not look like dust particles or ink specks/sprays. You can actually see if you blow it up enough, a similar pattern to all those specks as if they all came from the same thing, and the various pressure marks from the pen.
It's completely the same except the distortion from copying (making the forgery expand a little in all directions) and the distortions in the fonts from copying and pixellization. I love reading the liberals trying to deny the obvious, particularly on DU where they are arguing that the "s" characters all extend below the baseline. It is obviously not true in general, and just a copying artifact in some cases.
You could also get that effect if you were to print it out on NCR paper, crumple it up, flatten it out and copy it a few times. You would also have to lighten the contrast in order to get out a lot of the wrinkles in subsequent copies.
And this PROVES without a doubt that Bush would have known about 9/11, people from the future would have told him.
This shows it being done

The first step in eliminating an enemy, is to recognize him/it as your enemy. Done.
Wow, that's scary.
This is such great work.. my thanks!!
The numeral "8" in the date seems to be above the baseline in the CBS document. "7" in "187th" seems to go below the baseline. Furthermore, the serifs in capiral characters seem to be a lot heavier in the CBS than in the LGF version.
Excellent work.
Off-off topic but here goes...
Question Isn't it about time that a group of Conservative investers make a "hostile" takeover of CBS stock and install a new ownership more along the lines of Fox?
Think of the possiblities.
OMG, that is too hillarious!

Question:
It didn't take long Wed. night for some here on FR to create Word docs and overlay them on the CBS fakes. And I know that some news outlets have reported that they duplicated this procedure.
But has anyone seen it done on camera...for a news segment??? Wouldn't that be pretty compelling TV? I haven's seen it done and wonder why not.
That's just distortion for the document being copied and the copies being copied etc.
You need to understand that the original was supposed to be typed by a human on a typewriter.
It would have taken two or three "takes" to make sure you know when to hard-return so that you NEVER needed to hyphenate a word.
Open up word and write the "original" yourself using Times New Roman size 12 (oddly, it's the default on my version of Word... another kicker)...
Have you seen this?
New Turmoil as CBS Internal Docs Surface - Thread I (Rather Interesting!)
Yeah, but these dots around it are all the same size more or less. I tried it last night on a piece of paper and it looks exactly the same. Take a white piece of paper and a black ballpont pen, and really fast just dot the page all over at random. It looked exactly the same, same light to dark dots from hitting the paper at different pressures etc. I have a fax machine also and I got nowhere near that many dots after making copies after copies on a letter I had. To me they look too similar in size for it to be just from carbonized paper.
Having been a former M&A investment banker on Wall Street, I can tell you that what you suggest is virtually impossible.
