Do you think this go signal is in addition to or instead of the original plan to nuke several cities?
Do you think Al Qaida could still be capable of pulling off a major attack if the control was gone in the Al Qaida command ?

Zawahiri's Message Analysed
Zawahiri's message was ran through a text analyzer looking for key phrases.
These two phrases say it all. Al Qaeda's core is gone and it is under great pressure. The Jihadist see it and are commenting on it across the internet.
These are the main two phrases that are causing all the consternation and speculation.
Al Zawahiri is releasing all the Al Qaeda cells to act independently on their own and saying that Al Qaeda central command, control is gone; no orders will be coming regarding future attacks.
This means a go for any cells close to or ready for an attack.
He uses the Term in it "Devour" and its whole tone is negative and filled with despair.
Some of the key Arabic words were looked up and put in context culturally.
For example, the key phrase here is "The youth must not wait for anyone and must begin resisting from now and learn a lesson from Iraq and Afghanistan and Chechnya." It suggests there are no further orders coming from any command central," and all are released to perform actions at the time and against targets of their choosing."

There is no doubt in my mind that we're either gonna capture or kill OBL and the rest of his top level thugs very soon. As I have stated, they are up against the cream of the crop of the best SpecOps troops in the world. These men all see themselves as the tools of vengence for a wounded nation. It is a charge that they take with the utmost seriousness.
I think the "GO" code was issued over the summer to the next level of leadership that is based elsewhere, perhaps Europe or even Canada for the ops that will take place in the USA. Any further "GO" codes will probably be sent to the random terrorists without specific missions or support groups. Those folks who have infiltrated over the Mexican border. IMHO, these guys will be the toughest to stop, because there is little intel on their locations. They will have very small cells or even be single individuals. I have seen signs that there may now be AQ starting to affiliate with known youth gangs as support groups. These punks will do anything to achieve their goals and they truly hate American society. This idea is sheer genius for them. I'm beginning to think that maybe we should approach the MOB as was done during WWII by the FBI because a major AQ attack will hurt their interests, loved ones and business, too. Strange bedfellows and all that. Judicial meanz, what do you think of that idea?
AQ is not a centralized army as such. They may draw a modicum of inspiration from OBL and his lieutenants, but they are fully capable of sustaining combat operations on their own. Trained in Yemen, Somalia, or perhaps somewhere in Eastern Europe, they will not be folks who need a lot of "hand holding" and direction. As judicial meanz and I discussed some time ago, I'll bet the main force attackers currently on our soil have training in tradecraft by former KGB types who are going hungry in the post cold war world. IMHO, they are fully capable of pulling off another major attack and that operation is already in motion. In fact I think there are multiple ops in motion. As a part of SOP, I seriously doubt that cells are aware of other cells or their missions, so if one is compromised, they can't give the others up. I'll bet they're even controlled by different folks, or that controllers handle small groups of cells according to location and mission. That's my .02 cents.
