Al Qaeda Said to be Recruiting Youths

Al Qaeda has tried to recruit young gang members in Honduras to infiltrate the United States, Security Minister Oscar Alvarez said Thursday.

"We have followed persons tied to international terrorism who have sought to recruit gang members," Alvarez told reporters.

"We believe that [terrorists] have come to our country," he said.
