I was out with my son the other night at the mall getting our fav ice-cream DOTS! Yum!
Anyway I saw a soldier sitting down in the food mall where we were. I went up to him and told him (young man) As an American I'd like to thank you for your service to our country protecting me and my children/grandchildren. My son said as I was walking away that youngin' kept a smile on his face.
I'm proud of you for doing that JP. They need to know they have our support. Heaven knows they sure don't hear it in our news reports or from those anti-war activists who make them out to be something they are not.
Your story made me smile also. Good job!
TV station KXLY in Spokane announced a Washington Mutual branch was handed a large amount of cash in an envelope from a depositor. After the transaction multiple bank employees have gotten ill - HAZMAT is at the scene. The same individual withdrew a similar amount of cash from another bank in the Tri-Cities and there may be a money laundering scheme or some such thing going on in addition to whatever is coating the cash and making people sick. There is nothing on their website yet, but I'd imagine they will post it by later tonight or morning at the latest.
