The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Muslim group takes responsibility for 9-11: 'We are so sorry'

This September 11 marks the third unforgettable anniversary of the worst mass murder in American history.

After September 11, many in the Muslim world chose denial and hallucination rather than face up to the sad fact that Muslims perpetrated the 9-11 terrorist acts and that we have an enormous problem with extremism and support for terrorism. Many Muslims, including religious leaders, and "intellectuals" blamed 9-11 on a Jewish conspiracy and went as far as fabricating a tale that 4000 Jews did not show up for work in the World Trade Center on 9-11. Yet others blamed 9-11 on an American right wing conspiracy or the U.S. Government which allegedly wanted an excuse to invade Iraq and "steal" Iraqi oil.

Yep.
In my opinion, (from cybersurfing); Florida remains a place of interest.

Remember the old EOM or Daleel threats that said something like "when the operation starts, no one will even notice that the attack is underway".

Cuba with Soviet ties I can fathom.
Brazil threw me for a loop, though.

Just got done getting ready to go out, however i might stay in to watch the debates(i am a registered democrat, but surprisingly I am voting for Bush because i think Kerry will do nothing to help stop terrorism, like all other democrats, sadly...)
Frankly, i do not believe in any of that EOM/Daleel junk. I was also a lurker on the EOM/Daleel yahoo group, the IH forums, freddomwatchers, etc... He has made many warnings, and all have been debunked. However, if he does indeed exist, i think we are already in "go" motion(look at all the strange events, 5 cases of a white substance in just ONE day, odd isnt it..) If the plan of attack is a NBC bomb or whatnot, it is quite obvious tthat we woulkd KNOW an attack is underway. In my opinion, the only way we wouldn't know about an attack would be if it was something that effected our water/food supply, and thousands of us got sick over time... personally though, i think EOM is just some 16 year old kid who is craving attention.. just my 2 cents

Furthermore, being a Theology major i must point out the EOD scenario(end of days)... it is stated that the time will come when israel once again reaches statehood(has happened) man is overzealous(look at the youth of today, bunch of brats, lol) and on a scary note(not to sound like a nut) but the war of gog/magog. gog and magog have been well discussed in my class and we have come to an understanding that these 2 places represent Iran(magog, to the east of jerusalem) and Russia(gog, the north of jerusalem).... now, why would russia invade israel you ask? THEY WONT. But lets look at current events. Who is funding and aiding Iran with its nuclear program? If you guessed Russia, you've been reading your news. sure, its all biblical prophecy, but im uh... kind of uh... convinced its coming..

A new tea craze is sweeping through Guinea. It is not the brew itself that is new, but its name: Al-Qaeda. (snip)

Last but NOT LEAST, it is stated in the bible that the end of days(after a seven year war) will come "like a theif in the night, unexpected, and judgement will be decided than"(not an exact biblical quote, a paraphrase).. that sounds a LOT like the supposed EOM's "when the operation starts, no one will even notice that the attack is underway". Those two comments sound VERY similar, almost too similar. what's EOM doing reading the new testament when he should be studying his koran eh? lol...
Cindy, you said you felt like you know me, im curiious as to why :)

SEOUL — American installations in South Korea went on a high state of alert last week after intelligence was received that a terrorist attack might be planned in retaliation for the dispatch of Korean troops to Iraq.

More than 30,000 U.S. troops, along with family members and military contractors, have faced a 9 p.m. curfew since Sept. 24. Roadblocks and armored vehicles have cropped up around U.S. facilities here, while the South Korean government has upped security around its diplomatic establishments abroad.

A South Korean official said that in recent weeks very specific intelligence had been received from the United States, Australia and Indonesia warning of possible attacks against American and South Korea targets.

The U.S. Embassy in Seoul warned U.S. citizens of the increased threat of "suicide operations, bombings, or kidnappings," with the strongest language used in an advisory since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

"It seemed like a prudent thing to do since Korea had just deployed its troops," said a U.S. official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, about the citizen advisory.

Islamic terrorism is novel for South Korea, where the security apparatus is designed around the threat posed by communist North Korea. But deployment of 2,800 South Korean soldiers to Iraq — the largest deployment of foreign troops in the country after U.S. and British forces — has brought the distant war in the Middle East closer to home.

"There is a sense that this type of terrorist activity is moving from the Middle East to the U.S. and Europe and into Asia. Korea will not be an exception, given our close relationship with the United States and the size of the troops dispatch to Iraq," said Hahm Seung Hee, a former South Korean legislator who this year spearheaded a National Assembly investigation into suspected activity by Al Qaeda sympathizers in South Korea.

Last year, a Pakistani national with ties to Al Qaeda apparently visited South Korea in order to scout possible targets, the investigation found. Another suspect, who allegedly was connected with an Indonesian cell, tried to enter the country but was turned back because of faulty travel documents.

Ending a nearly two-month news blackout, the South Korean military announced last week that it had completed the deployment of its troops to the Kurdish city of Irbil in northern Iraq. The troop dispatch began Aug. 3, but by agreement the South Korean press refrained from publicizing the movement of troops until they were fully in place.

"We want to be as low profile as possible about this," said Moon Chung In, a South Korean academic who has advised the government on the Iraq dispatch. "We are fulfilling our duties as an ally of the United States, but we see no need to have high visibility."

South Koreans are worried not only about attacks against U.S. installations, but also against facilities patronized mainly by Koreans. South Koreans traveling abroad also have been advised to keep a low profile.

"This is a small country, so we are able to monitor who goes in and out. But it is harder to protect Koreans abroad," said a South Korean official, who asked not to be quoted by name.

He said another concern was that nationals might get involved in violent antiwar activities or even terrorism.

South Korea, one of the most ethnically homogenous countries in Asia, has only a small Islamic community of about 100,000 people, with roughly two-thirds of them foreigners.

The nation was traumatized by the beheading in June of a 33-year-old translator, Kim Sun Il, at the hands of kidnappers in Iraq who demanded that South Korea cancel its plans to send troops. There have been smaller incidents as well against Koreans, including a brief kidnapping of a diplomat in Baghdad, and threats against their embassies in Afghanistan and Thailand.

Jamaat al Muslimeen

link to information on this group in Trinidad and Tobago
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Jamaat+al+Muslimeen

The Jamaat al Muslimeen is a Muslim organization with a membership of predominantly Afro-Trinidadians. The appeal of its doctrines to the poor and displaced classes of society have seen its membership and popularity take hold within these communities.

It was the organisation's leader, Imam Yasin Abu Bakr, who led members of the Jamaat in an attempted coup against the elected Government of Trinidad and Tobago in July 1990. The legal upholding of an amnesty agreement obtained during the incarceration of parliament by the group had led to the non-prosecution of its members for this crime. Subsequent to the attempted coup, it aligned itself publicly with the People's National Movement.

***Terror Alert Issued For Tri-State Residents***
Alert Level Remains Elevated

CINCINNATI -- Tri-state police are alerting citizens of a new terror warning, WLWT News 5's Juliette Vara reported.

While the alert level remains at elevated, Cincinnati police chief and Hamilton County sheriff sent a letter to local media asking for help to alert citizens that now is the most crucial time to fight terrorism.

Some citizens have questioned why the Tri-state is at risk for an attack, but authorities said the Midwest could be a larger target than New York City or Washington D.C.

"It's harder for them (terrorists) to assault (hard) targets," said Steve Barnett, of the Hamilton County Sheriff's office. "Possibly, they would go after a soft target." (snip)

Makes sense, Velveeta.

With NYC and Washington having stepped up security, it's a bit harder to pull off something there.

But it's impossible to have that level of security everywhere in the country.

We all have to watch out for anything strange, all citizens have to pay attention.
