It's already started here... I was out shopping just before, pulled into my driveway and the radio station I was listening to were doing the midday news news (basically all terrorism bombings, all the time, these days.) They ended with a sound montage of "that day" three years ago and I was sobbing inconsolably by the end of it.

Because of the time difference, I and the rest of Australia get to remember... twice.

Now where did I put my vodka and cigarettes? I shall need both, if I'm not to be crying like a baby all weekend (which I suspect I shall be, self-medication and all....)

Is it just me... or do these anniversaries get harder???

Have a shot of Vodka on us Australia.

I know Aussie boys are patrolling along side Americans in Iraq. We know who are friends are. We will not forget.

Please convey our thanks to as many Australians as you can. Especially any whose sons are in Iraq. They are making the world a better place for my children.

You are not alone. I was in the Trade Center when it was just being built around 1972. The guy at the 85th floor said we could walk around, but not bother the welders. My "buddies" and I cut HS and went to NYC for some teenage fun. There is a place in my heart for all those people so many years later:(

Hi, KJ! I'm missing it all. Of course, I'm spending most of my 33-hour Saturday, 9/11, sitting on planes getting from Germany to Seattle. (One flight to go...)
