ARLINGTON, VA Bush-Cheney 04 Campaign Chairman Gov. Marc Racicot today issued the following statement:
Governor Shaheens flailing attacks in New Mexico are part of the Kerry campaigns desperate effort to regain control in a state where one-fourth of Democrats now support the Presidents positive agenda for a safer world and more hopeful America. Shaheen knows that Kerrys out of the mainstream policies ignore the priorities of New Mexico voters she even agreed with the President's thoughtful stand against the Clinton Roadless Rule and opposed Kerrys extreme environmentalist position.
The Kerry campaigns effort to talk down New Mexicos growing economy cant hide the reality that our unemployment rate is now lower than the average for the Clinton years. Only John Kerry would see misery in the creation of 1.7 million new jobs over the past year, and this is why his credibility problem with New Mexico voters is only growing. New Mexicos working families, seniors and small businesses arent going to trust a candidate who voted five times for higher Medicare premiums and is now proposing a new taxpayer funded Department of Wellness.
Was there a shin-dig in New Mexico, where Shaheen was present and said soemthing stupid?
All of them "new" states can get confusing I suppose...
