This does not sound fair to corpses. If they can vote in California, they should also be allowed to have sex!

A sign of the times. In the sixties, the Harvard comedian Tom Lehrer said the following during a performance:

"I particularly remember one heartwarming book he wrote about a young necrophiliac who finally achieved his boyhood ambition by becoming coroner."

{mild laughter from the audience}

"The rest of you can look it up when you get home."

In a song about college, however, Lehrer was happy to use:

"Turn on the spigot
Pour the beer and swig it
And gaudeamus igit...ur"

Nowadays, I imagine few people know gaudeamus igitur, but only a weirdo wouldn't know what a coroner or necrophiliac were all about.

Man, they are really getting hard up out there in Calif. Suprised they have to pass a law to make this illegal.

There once was a guy named Dave
Who found a dead whore in a cave
She was ugly as sin
Looked like Rin Tin Tin
But think of the money he'd save!
Oh!

A DU reply.

6. That won't stop me. Doesnt mean a thing if you don't get caught, and dead people are really good at keeping secrets.

Now off to the shower.

Obviously another hateful Republican trick to stop Democrats from wooing their voters.

The new legislation marks the culmination of a two-year drive

Jimminy Crickets! It took 2 years to pass this law? I would've thought it was already a crime. Must be the powerful mortician's lobby.

All I can think of is this verse when it comes to California.

"Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting."

The most notorious modern day necrophiliac was actually a woman in Cali. Karen Greenlee.
The "Weaker" Sex

Among funeral workers, there have been a few females who performed their own erotic rituals, and one of the most famous is Karen Greenlee. She didn't kill men to get the corpses, but she certainly had an attraction to them once they were dead.

In 1979 in California, Greenlee was to deliver the body of a 33-year-old man to a cemetery for a funeral, but instead she drove off in the hearse, abducting the corpse to keep for herself. She was found and charged with stealing a hearse and interfering with a funeral, and apparently it wasn't the first time she'd felt such a sexual attraction to the dead. Into this casket she had put a long letter that detailed her erotic episodes with what she estimated had been over 20 male corpses. Calling herself a "morgue rat," she didn't understand why she felt so compelled to touch dead bodies, but it was an addiction she couldn't seem to break.

This is a sad testimony to what a sick society we have become that a law like this has to even be considered.

California is near bankruptcy, being overrun by Mexicans with impunity and the legislature/governor are in a food fight over necrophilia.

Obviously the two party system has lost its way in Californian.
