CBS Ignored Info That Docs Were Likely Inauthentic!!
Hannity Radio Show
Posted on 09/10/2004 2:23:42 PM PDT by chunkycheese
Gary Killian, son of the "author" of the CBS memos, just stated on air that when he tried to bring to CBS's attention the likelihood that the memos supposedly written by his father were dubious, they ignored his input, as well as his suggestion that they talk with some of Bush's co-pilots who would've vouched for Bush's performance as an Air Guardsman!

You guys will see CBS Evening News well before we in the west do. Please have a Live Thread for Rather's show tonight where he is going to really dig himself in.
Hannity airs on one hour delay here. Right now I'm hearing the Barnes daughter.

The sons statement meshes pretty darn close to what passes for journalism in all too many places; Do not confuse me with facts or anything that might slow me down. Day 2 of Memogate is getting to be lots of fun. Can not wait for day 3(letterhead on back of memos is from a New York city Hospital)

how can Rather just totally stonewall? Because it's always worked before!
To: Steven W.
That's reckless disregard for truth, and proof of malice. They knew the docks were probably phoney.

These people are so arrogant to think that they can get away with this crap forever. I wonder if Sean knows that Ms. Mapes was heavily involved in the dragging death story?

Impartial in their mind means Liberal/Anti-Bush.

But this is amazing. CBS is hosed. They are liars and a fraud.
Is it really hosed? Will ABC, NBC, CNN and the rest of the MSM pick this up? Will anyone other than FOX viewers, FReepers and bloggers find out the truth?
Or will Peter Jennings just barely mention it in passing with some derogatory comment?
CBS is still standing by the story, insisting that the preponderance of the evidence supports the authenticity of the documents. I can see it being just swept under the rug with everything else.

Isn't it true that journalists don't have to take a state or national exam of some type to practice their professions?

After hearing the Colonel's son...there is nothing Rather can say that would salvage this.
They have been outed and shown for the liars they are. They looked only for info to back their pre-existing slant and then used forgeries to back it up. They ignored the info closest to the Colonel. I hope they sue CBS for 100's of millions.
Unbelievable.

I see Ben Ginsberg and (ack) Howard Wolfson.
When I saw Wolfson on Shep's show yesterday he was dancing on air, giddy as can be, absolutely glowing with an inner joy.
Wolfson standing by the "Bush Lied" crap.

Rather is looking more and more like David Krenshaw from the Dragon's Fury Series. All that's missing is the trail leading back to Beijing.

Howlin, I learned to type in 1962, we doubled spaced after every ending . ! or ?. Also the rag content would be different than todays paper, and wasn't the paper back then narrower? And wouldn't originals be yellowed by now? And weren't type written papers slighted indented where the key struck the paper? I've used both manual and electric and selectric and they all indented the paper with the key stroke.

Amazing...just luck of the draw. I was delayed two minutes when my dial-up connection went down while I was writing it.
No matter...the info is out there.
