AP sued Pentagon on FOIA, gave the documents to DNC, who with the Kerry campaign, gave them to CBS.
So. Who put the forgeries in the stack? AP or DNC?
That's the question.
I thought these memos were personal doc, from private files? And I thought Killian's widow had the papers all boxed up in her house? Was someone going through her house to get docs that they could use for templates?
As far as the provenance of the documents goes, I think this case may be resolvable by coming at it from two ends. Since the forgery was obviously done by someone purporting to be an expert who really wasn't, that person is probably not as professional as he should be for something so high profile. That means people can probably get him to talk and come forward. I think that's how the case will be cracked.
These are NOT the docs that were obtained via FOIA. These were allegedly found in Killian's private files.
The forged documents were reported to come from personal files, AFAIK. IS there any report that these documents were provided under a FOIA request?
