My guess is that this hoax was perpetrated by the 527 group, Texans for truth. I saw the head of this group on Scarborough last night and the ad that he has made, accusing Bush of shirking his National guard duty. My guess is that this guy is behind the forged docs and the Barnes lie.

They have stated that they are not behind the documents that CBS aired. They know nothing of it.

That being said, the fact that the ad came out so close to the time CBS aired the story indicates the possibility of coordination.

I'd really like to see some run-down on their formation date and influx of original cash. The 3-point coordination (DNC-Press Conf., Liberal Heavy Hitters-Harkin, etc. and Ben Barnes) is just beyond coincedence.

A screen on the tv while the guy from Texans for truth was speaking said that he was a former leader of MoveOn.Org. and had other suspicious ties, as well.
