Pat Caddell on Fox News Live this morning excoriated the Kerry campaign, and suggested they are behind the faked memos. I have posted an instant transcript at:

There is NO WAY the DNC would be out in front denying this while Rather is affirming the docs unless THEY KNOW WHERE THE DOCS CAME FROM!
Rather was just on TV saying he stands by the story and there "is no discussion" of a retraction, apology.
I hope the GOP has the backbone do take advantage of this. If the GOP pulled this crap, it would have hit the fan and we would be in the middle of Congressional Investigation, special commissions, and whatever else they could demand. But I just don't see the GOP raising this to that level. I wish they would.

The evil that is the Bush Administration has caused otherwise highly ethical Americans to go to lengths far beyond what they would normally do in order to remove an illegitimate, lying, AWOL, president from office and correct our situation. It's a small price to pay in order to rid ourselves of such a warmongering frat boy.

According to DU, it was "Rove" and/or "the Chimpies" that forged the document to give GWB "a pass" on any further ANG stories. Some are in denial, saying CBS is standing by their story. They are now working on another story that because GWB had to do 2 passes to make a landing on one of his last flights, that he was incompetant as a pilot.
Maybe the RNC needs to consider hiring Mr. Caddell in the future.

Me too Fester. Funny, but it seems I could never get angry at him........even though I know he was a Carterite. He does have a level head on his shoulders and he's about the ONLY Dem I could watch without going balistic.
They promised a "Nastier, more vicious" campaign.
They weren't kidding. They've got nasty all over them.
What I don't get is that they would think this would work. If Kerry gave a series of normal speeches clearly saying that he would cut illegal immigration, cut wasteful spending, and wage an aggressive war on terrorism, he would immediately rebound in the polls.
However, I know he won't do it and will lose big time.
What do you mean "Justice Department," "warrants"? You think it's a crime in this country to forge government papers? No way! At least not if you're a Democrat seeking to get your candidate elected. Why, that's no worse than perjury. You must be out of your mind thinking this is something that could fall under the jurisdiction of the DOJ.
I can't hear about C above middle C, so I couldn't tell. But she did split her belt and a few staves shot out of her corset.
I would say its over at this point, but there is still time for the Dems to do even cookier things than this. Man are they stepping in it. It is going from Kerry going down in flames to their entire party biting the dust this November. Wow, I never thought I would witness this in my lifetime.
R U series? Didn't CBS come out last night and say they were investigating it......? Are they inviting a law suit or what?
