I'm pretty sure that the original use of that phrase was by Rather on air one night in the past. Out of the blue he'd asked "What's the frequency Kenneth?" while looking like he was listening to something. The whacko had seen that and subsequently incorporated it into his mind control delusion...

It is truly frightening to think what CBS would have gotten away with if they'd been typed on a vintage typewriter. It raises the question of how many other stories have been falsified in the past with no questions asked.

Exactly…. If they just used an old typewriter there would have been no way to spot… we could be fighting a manufactured firestorm that could take down a president (that was there hope) all on a bald face lie

….reporter with there “we don’t reveal our sources” can make up out of whole cloth and say anything they want with no outside verification

This is from the Kerry Spot on NRO:

"But as word of the widow's skepticism broke, Drum appeared to conclude that CBS needs to mount a better, more detailed defense for the documents (besides, "trust us").

Things are still up in the air. At this point, there are enough legitimate questions about these memos that I really think CBS is going to have to provide additional information if they want them to be taken seriously.

One other point: I also heard through the grapevine yesterday that one CBS producers was very confident about this story, and that this person thought there was more revelations to come about Bush's National Guard years.

And this exchange just occured on Fox News:

Chris Wallace on Fox News this morning: “I thought the reference to Paris Hilton was a dead giveaway.”

More Wallace; At some point [CBS] is going to have to explain the discrepancies between this memo and what appears to be possible with the technology at the time… I don’t think they’ll have a huge impact on the campaign.

Fox & Friends Host: Should CBS reveal its sources?

Chris Wallace: What, are you trying to pull a Chris Wallace on me?"

I'm really hoping Chris Wallace's Paris Hilton comment has nothing to do with Dubya. I hope we don't have a W sex tape in our future. I didn't see the segment, and I pray that that isn't the case.

Oh NOOOOOO! Flashbacks!

Gawd, that picture brings back memories.

First saw Clockwork Orange in Amsterdam in the 70's on a hitchhiking roadtrip with a high school buddy. (Army Brats living overseas).

The bud was later a college apartment mate, and went on to become an Airborne Ranger (released early from his Army commitment because they didn't need Doctors of Econmics in the Rangers)

I'll have to email him to ask about his take on the whole Bush TANG thing...

My ex-Ranger bud and I still call each other Droogie Brothers as a result of that trip and Clockwork Orange. That doesn't mean either of us do drugs or advocate the film, it's just a remembrance of a long, strange, roadtrip to Amsterdam in the 70's (the couple in the bunk bed above me got applause from the whole room after they finally came in the hostel we were crashing at).

One of the reasons I like Bush is because of his "irresponsible youth" statement. I've been there and done that (fur sure).
