Rounding up all illegals 'not realistic'
The Washington Times ^ | September 10, 2004 | Jerry Seper

Posted on 09/10/2004 5:00:30 AM PDT by MikeJ75

The nation's border czar yesterday said it is "not realistic" to think that law-enforcement authorities can arrest or deport the millions of illegal aliens now in the United States and does not think the American public has the "will ... to uproot" those aliens.

BS to that, because if we don't the Mexicans will surely deport us Americans some day. I don't care about all that wishy washy assimilation goo goo talk from the liberal zombies mass immigration is bringing Mexico north to our great country. Mexico's problems are our problems and their culture is becoming our culture and their culture is a great failure of epic proportions. Chilton Williamson has a great essay over at v-dare that begins to detail the importation of Mexico's less than stellar political culture to our shores.

I don't understand, whose talking about a roundup. When they are found, obey the law and deport them. If they are found working illegally, deport them. The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step........

Dear President Bush,

1. Please fire immediately Mr. Asa Hutchinson and replace him with someone willing to secure our borders and arrest / deport the criminals that have been tresspassing in our country.

2. Your plan to allow those that have been in the country illegally to become legal is not without merit. However, it must be combined with absolute enforcement measures for those that choose NOT to take part in the program AND for any who illegally enter the country in the future.

3. One of the primary purposes of the United States Army is the defense of the United States. The United States are currently in a state of war. Enemy Agents are using our southern border with Mexico (and possibly our northern border with Canada) as an easy way to infiltrate our country. It is long overdue that Army Units be stationed on our borders to prevent further incursions.

I have and will continue to support you as president and Commander in Chief. But, Sir, this is one area in which I believe you need to make some major changes in policy.

Amen. I say put the traitors in jail. But remember, we aren't supposed to be talking about illegals or outsourcing. It might upset the Bushbots.

We can express our anger/frustration here (for whatever our expressing our anger/frustration to those do-nothing-but-harm-government-for-life folk is worth!):

Just ask that your comments be forwarded to the sell-out jerk Asa who suggests having 12-16 MILLION CRIMINALS living among us is acceptable American policy.

Wishing Tom Tancredo were president . . . Regards . . . Penny

If Asa Hutchinson doesn't want to obey the law, why should I?

Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't Hutchinson just declared that we may now ignore any laws that we feel are "not realistic."

You don't need to round them up. Here's how to make for an effective, humane, and workable approach:

Begin aggressive targeting of illegals in certain parts of California, Texas, etc. Make the apprehension public and the implementation of the new policies known countrywide.

Implement a Prop-187-type system where a potential illegal has to show evidence that he or she belongs in the country, whenever showing up for any official service -- hospitals, police station, school enrollment, etc. Those who don't belong are politely but firmly detained and immediate deportion procedures are begun.

Change the law such that for first offenses, illegals are fined $1,000 with fine automatically suspended if they don't fight deportation. With second and third offenses, the fine increases dramatically and their property in the US is seized -- bank accounts, cars, furniture. Also, implement a mandatory sentencing for multiple offenders.

Enforce the laws for employers who hire illegals.

Pretty soon it won't be economical for illegals to come anymore and they will stop. Others will return home because it isn't worth it anymore.

One final change -- get ready to have all our vegetables and fruits imported from Mexico, or that the price in the US increases. Those of us who dislike illegal immigration intensely need to accept this fact.

Asa Hutchinson is a loser if he thinks that the American people don't have the will. President Bush should can this POS chump.""

Small town n of me had a running chase and gunbattle with previously deported POS this past weekend. Warrants in 2-3 counties, drug charges a mile long, and he had been "deported before", how many times not stated.

This Asshole endangered many people in the chase and the gunbattle. I say shoot them all- they just keep coming back like a boomerang.

Idiotic argument. All of the illegals I know go home once a year or two years. Seal the border and they will extradite themselves.

AMEN, BROTHER. That would be the best first step in a long while. I just think Asa doesn't get it. I don't think he is a bad person. He just doesn't get it.

Give me a break!

Every time, and I mean every single last time this government sees a law broken it cares about, it comes down with the boot, but hard.

Two MILLION incarcerated Americans can attest to that fact.

The two reasons behind their unwillingness (not inability) to deport illegals are painfully obvious:

1. Cheap labor. And those profiting from such hold more sway than those who simply want illegals gone.

2. Demographic changes show hispanics becoming a large voting block in coming years. GOP wants these voters and won't offend them.

The government's pathetic excuses are an insult to any thinking person's intelligence. But you'll vote them back in anyway so why should they care?

There is no need to round anyone up.
Just tell them that the social security numbers they have submitted are invalid, and do not match their names, so they cannot work.
When they cannot find work, most of them will leave the country on their own accord.""

Tell me how an employer can do that when they are hiring. To the best of my knowledge, there is no website or method to check these docs when you are trying to hire someone.

The employer finds out 6 mos to 18 mos later, when the IRS/SOC SEC ADMIN gets the W-2 data, and then cannot match it up. Some states get quarterly data, and can inform employers earlier. By then, the "employee" comes in with a new set of docs and the "employer" starts over with a "new" employee until the cycle starts all over again.

The illegal intruders know to almost the minute how long they can pull off this game, and edgy employers keep the game going. Trying to find cheap labor leads to problems with the health system, etc, as we on FR all know.

When the Soc Sec admin can come up with an internet system that matches names. ss numbers, and a photo, then perhaps employers who want to do it right stand a chance. Until then, I will donate time, horses, and effort to guard the borders, with others of like attitudes.

BTW- San Jose Medical, a large hospital is closing at end of this year. They cannot serve the paying population when the illegals must be treated by law and they cannot collect. sKerry and others talk about the millions who have no health insurance, but they are talking out of 5 sides of their mouths. Illegals drive up the costs. Lawsuits drive up the costs. Lawyers like John Edwards and his crap drive up the costs. Then it leads to people like me who haven't had health insurance for 9 years because the monthly premiums are so high. I just cannot afford it. So I hope not to have any problem that I cannot just go to clinic and pay cash. Am I in jeopardy? Hell, yes, but paying monthly the same as a house payment doesn't work either.

I agree with you that Asa doesn't understand the problem or the solution. Unfortunately, and I say this being a GWB gneral supporter, this administration hasn't grasped the fact that the entire muslim world and their perverted religion has one goal: our deaths or our conversion. To prevent more bloodshed on American soil they need to be relocated to the Sahara Desert.

If our government will not enforce the most basic law of legal citizenship, what right do they have to enforce any other law? Selective enforcement of laws is a slippery slope.
