Thanks for the laugh... I started out 35+ years ago as a helper/apprentice machinist at Island Auto Parts, then moved next door to Newman's Auto Repair, where, due mainly to outlasting everyone else except Willie Newman, ended up as Chief Mechanic of the joint.
Hard work, but fond memories, and you never forget the smell of Petisol 404 degreaser in kerosene.
